Amazon Mom: 30% Discounts, Free Amazon Prime (up to 1yr), Refund for Current Prime Members (I’m getting $46 back)

It’s free to join Amazon Mom and everyone is eligible (you don’t have to be a mom).  It’s very quick to sign-up, and it’s optional to give them any information about the children you buy things for.

Here are the benefits of joining – again it’s totally free to sign-up:

  • 30% off select diapers and wipes:  normally you get 15% when you subscribe & save, but Amazon Moms get an extra 15% discount for a total of 30% off!
  • Free Amazon Prime Membership for 3 months:   that means you get free 2-day shipping for 3 months on thousands of items – if you buy $25 or more from the Baby Store (in a single order) you get an extra free month of Amazon Prime, up to one free year (but everyone gets the free 3 months without buying anything from the Baby Store)
  • Refund for Current Amazon Prime Members:  if you are already an Amazon Prime member, go ahead and cancel to get a refund and at least 3 months free of Amazon Prime.  You bet I jumped on this offer because it means I get a refund of $46.61 and between 3 months to 1 year of free Amazon Prime (depending on my shopping in the Baby Store, I’m sure I’ll buy a few gifts there this year).  I received my refund email the morning after I joined Amazon Mom.  Be sure you join Amazon Mom and cancel when they ask you if you want to cancel.

    Do you know if they have to approve your membership before the Amazon Prime starts? Because I joined Amazon Mom, then went through the order process to see, and it did not have me as an Amazon Prime member.

    Thanks for posting this. I signed up for it and then went looking at the diaper prices! Wow! With the 30% off, the prices are super cheap. I’m ordering some asap! I love not having to drag a huge box of diapers while I’m shopping at Costco! haha.

    FYI: if you are a current amazon prime member and wish to cancel your membership, in order to get a refund you must go through the “mom” signup first… If you go through the “prime” membership settings first, you probably won’t qualify for a refund; so sign-up for Amazon mom account first.

    Also, if you currently purchase diapers you can get an extra 20% discount with coupon included in “Parents” magazine, that equals 50% off!!!

    This a a great deal for those who are not already members of Amazon Prime. But, also remember if you are already a member and you cancel the rest of your membership you are only allowed one other person on the Amazon Mom Membership and on Amazon Prime you can add 3 others. For instance, I have an Amazon Prime Membership and I split the yearly fee with 3 other friends because it allows you to add three other “family” members to use your Amazon Prime by just knowing their birthdate. So, myself and three of my friends are on my Amazon Prime Membership and it cost us each only $16 a year for 2 day shipping and $3.99 for next day shipping! This is a great deal! It cost me $20 to drive to the nearest shopping area and at Christmas next day is a blessing!!!! Just a thought.

    I don’t see the diaper savings? The Huggies Size 5′s are for 120 are 35.00 with your savings it is 24.50. You can go to Target right now and the box of 5′s are 19.79 for 50 with a Target Coupon of 3.50 off and the manufacture of 3.00 and $2.00 of a pkg of wipes that is a double bag for 5.47 it all seems like a wash.
    Is there something I am missing other than I would not have to leave the house and I would have to agree to a monthly shipment? Is that what you would cancel?
    If I am wrong please point out what I am missing.

    I agree with Christina. The diaper prices at 30% off are much more expensive than the regular everyday prices at my wholesale club before I add club coupons and manufacturer coupons. I thought this would be a better deal. Are we missing something?

    I got a box of size 4 huggies for $23.51. That’s almost 16 cents a diaper, which is cheap for size 4 in my area. I usually buy the Costco generic for around 24 cents per diaper. I can get the price per diaper down to about 20 cents if I use a coupon and a sale at the regular stores. I can’t use coupons at Costco, but I know you can use them at BJs.

    You need to look at the cost per diaper and see how it compares to what you normally buy. I only bought one box to test out the system. I signed up for the automatic shipping – but you can cancel it at any time before the next package ships.

    Amazon also has coupons… They should b under you account info… If you can’t find them do a “search” for coupons and you’ll see the link come up… They have pampers coupons, if you don’t see them click refresh on the current page until you see them… Coupons are updated constantly.

    I got a box of 176 pampers baby dry size 4 (orig 39.49) for 18.24 after 30% subscribe and save + 20% off amazon code in PArents magazine + 1.50 off amazon digital coupon. Good luck all!
