*Expired* 4 Free Kentucky Grilled Chicken Meals

by Freebies4Mom on May 5, 2009 12:27 pm

Update on May 8:
Plan on going to KFC to get your raincheck forms! You have to mail in those coupons you printed because KFC has realized that this promotion has gone a little too crazy – but they want to make it right and help you get your free food at a later date.

Print 4 coupons for a free Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal. Thanks goes to Martha who saw this promotion on Oprah and told me about it first by sending me a message on Facebook (yes, I’m finally on Facebook here).

You must print this coupon now(the coupon is no longer accessible after Wednesday, May 6 at 9:59pm CDT). But you can use it anytime between now and Tuesday, May 19 (but not on Mother’s Day). This is a “bricks” coupon so remember that you can print it four times by hitting the back button! So, what’s in the Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal? Two pieces of grilled chicken, two individual sides, and a biscuit. Of course I would recommend calling your local KFC to confirm that they are participating in this promotion and will accept this coupon (most should, but sometimes specific locations opt out of participating). Enjoy your free dinner!

Heather, I can’t get this to print. I know there’s a trick when you have IE rather than firefox? Help!

I can’t get it either. It says I have already printed them.

Cary – You shouldn’t have to worry about the browser you’re using – the link will automatically change to match your browser because you’re accessing the coupon from KFC (I didn’t post a direct link to it). But sometimes trying a different browser will work to print that coupon. Everyone – Obviously KFC is getting a high volume of traffic for this offer, so there may be problems printing. Please try again later (maybe when things slow down it will work). If you have problems contact Coupons.com with the link on the KFC website.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

You can click on the link to print the coupon 4 times per computer. After you’ve printed the coupon, X out of the webpage, click on the link from the blog and print again- up to 4 times

No luck. I guess there is a high volumen of traffic. I’ve been trying for 15 minutes and it won’t print.

Try printing it from here…http://www.oprah.com/article/oprahshow/20090430-tows-kfc-coupon-downloadThe KFC website directed me to the Oprah website due to technical difficulties on their page.

I saved this coupon when it let me going through Oprah web site. What is the ethical way to print these when you have them saved? I don’t understand why they let us save coupons. Can someone help me with this?

Response to Comment #22 – You are only intended to print 4 coupons per person. Printing more (by whatever means) would be considered fraudulent. Please honor KFC’s promotion and don’t print more than your 4 coupons.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

so does that mean my coupons are valid I printed 4 in the pdf format, but they have the same number, so I am kinda worried, I emailed kfc, what do you thinkMandy

Does anyone know where I can get this PDF? I’ve checked the KFC site and Oprah’s and I’m not coming acrossed the PDF to print. Thanks.

Heather May 6, 2009 at 6:43 am

Mandy – Don’t worry – if you were able to print 4 copies of the PDF on Oprah’s website then you can use all 4 of those coupons. I’m guessing the PDF was posted for a temporary time while the KFC coupon was experiencing technical problems for printing. The PDF coupon may no longer be accessible if the printing problems have been resolved.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

I took the PDF coupons to my KFC last night and they acted like I had cheated somehow in getting them. I later went back to KFC’s website and was able to print some. THE PDF’s all have the same number.

I tried both last night, and this morning, and it says that I have already reached the print limit for the coupon…but I haven’t printed ANY! Bummer.

Jennifer May 6, 2009 at 9:53 am

It’s no longer a bricks coupon…the KFC site now has it in PDF format. Hope it works, as I’m sure there will be a million people trying to use this coupon with the same serial number on it.

Just want everyone to know that certain restaurants are only accepting the coupons with certain numbers on the bar code..we stood in line for a very long time just for them to tell us that they could only accept the couons that have 12345 on them…they should post that on the windows so people won’t waste their time in line for nothing…I already complained to KFC cause if it came off their website they should have accepted it…

Tanisha May 6, 2009 at 6:47 pm

Thanks for the link. i was able to print all 4.

Just to let you know each “participating” KFC may have conflicting info. I seen someone said their KFC would only accept 12345 coupons but I know of two in TX that would not accept those ones. However, even some are limiting to when and/or to the first 100 coupons per day. Just remember be curteous, and print out the kfc page where it has the terms and hopefully you’ll always get a positive yes from any participating KFC.

Thank you for all the time and effort you put into creating your web site to help other busy moms. I, for one, appreciate it. 🙂 Thanks a bunch!

I was able to print two coupons and went today to use them and they would not honor them and gave me a form to mail in and they in return would send me one coupon. I think if you advertise something and have customers go through the trouble to locate and print the coupon they should honor it. I have contacted our local news station about this. I hope some people were able to get theirs.

Contact a news station over a coupon that wouldn’t work?? Seriously?? Bummer that it didn’t work…but is that really news-worthy?? Thanks for all the great leads on this website…it’s a lot of fun!!

I printed out the coupon but I was told they don’t take it in Hawaii. They compensated me (I am not a complainer but will take anything for free) with a free piece of grilled chicken. I have to say I did pay for my 2 meals and the super nice guy gave us 20% off on top of it!

I see the update now about the rain check program, and also say the CNN article about it too… but does anyone know how it works?

Reply

FishMama May 10, 2009 at 7:42 pm

Glad I came to link to this post. I hadn’t heard about the raincheck deal. Do you know if everyone in my family needs to go in to get the rain check? Ugh! What a pain!
