Star Wars BladeBuilders Light Saber
On my youngest son’s 9th birthday, I gave both of my sons a new Star Wars t-shirt and a Star Wars gift to open. They were thrilled, and had a pretty good idea of what was inside their gifts. So they tore the wrapping paper off and found a Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Luke Skywalker Electronic Lightsaber inside. As a mom of two, I’ve learned from experience that when you wrap a gift that will need batteries to operate, you must include the batteries inside the gift! Don’t assume that you will have the correct size and number of batteries, just buy the batteries when you buy the gift and wrap them together. Then you can immediately install the batteries and let your kids get to playing with their new toys!
For this gift I intentionally did not wrap the batteries with the light sabers. And of course my kids noticed – they were like “Why don’t our light sabers work?” Then I pulled the Duracell AAA batteries out of my pocket and told them to install them. They got a screw driver and properly aligned the negative and positive terminals to install the batteries. Most of our new toys need batteries, so now we need to save money on those batteries! Look in your Sunday Paper on November 22 for a Duracell Coupon: $3.00 off 2 packages of Duracell batteries (AA/AAA 16pk, D/C 4pk, 9V 2pk or larger, Quantum AA/AAA 6pk, D/C 3pk or larger). And again look in your Sunday Paper on December 13 for a Duracell Coupon: $1.00 off 1 package of Duracell Coppeertop and Quantum. Remember to use your coupons before they expire and treat them like cash by placing them someplace safe.BladeBuilders Light Sabers I didn’t realize exactly how cool the BladeBuilders light sabers are until my kids showed me what they could do with them. They do more than glow and produce motion sensor-controlled sound effects thanks to the power from Duracell batteries. You’ve got to buy at least two light sabers in the BladeBuilders series in order to enjoy the extra special feature. You can combine two light sabers to make one light saber! This is a super cool feature that my kids were happy to show off. I think my kids are ready to go watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens and then re-enact all of the battle scenes at home.
