Meet My Sister, New Contributor to Freebies 4 Mom

You’ll start seeing a new name on some posts written by my sister, Kailey, as she helps me with my blog.  Kailey will start her Senior year of college in the fall and is addicted to freebies just like me!  Not a big surprise sine we grew up shopping at garage sales together.  Thanks to our mom we both love to find bargains.  We don’t see each other often since I’m in Texas and she’s in Oregon – but the beauty of being a blogger is that it’s easy to work with others over the internet.  Please welcome Kailey to Freebies 4 Mom by leaving a comment here!

Freebies 4 Mom in Top 10 Mommy Blogs

I’m honored to be included in the “Top 10 Most Influential Mommy Blogs” list by Access Communications.  While I don’t write exclusively for the “mom audience” (because I like to help everyone), I am a mom myself and my role as a mom inspired me to start this blog back on October 21, 2007.  Over two years (and 4,000 posts) later I’m tickled pink that I’m reaching thousands of people daily and helping them get freebies (and save money too).  I’m also a little overwhelmed now that my hobby has turned into a business, and I find it challenging to keep this new job of mine fun and balance it with my family’s schedule.  I’m still blogging on a part-time basis and I’m still having fun.  Thanks goes to all of my readers who are helping me, helping each other, and making this a fun place to share!

Moms deserve freebies!

Welcome to “Freebies 4 Mom”. Getting freebies is like getting presents, and as moms we definitely deserve presents! I created this blog to become a resource for other moms to find freebies. As a stay-at-home mom of two boys, I know how challenging the role of caregiver/ shopper/ money manager/ chauffeur/ planner/ cook/ housekeeper can be. Taking advantage of free samples and other promotions by major companies has been a great way for me to try new products for free, get free full-size samples, save money with coupons and rebate offers, and most importantly to spoil myself a little for free!

Why is my blog different than all of those “free sample” websites you find across the web? Because I focus on the best of the offers available, those things that I am interested in and that I think other moms would be interested in too. I try to weed through the offers for you. For example, I often find free sample offers from companies that I have not heard of before. So I request the sample, wait to receive it, then tell you about it. I do not post free sample offers that require jumping through any hoops. If a free sample or other promotion is offered by someone other than the manufacturer (i.e. a store or a magazine) then I will tell you who is offering the promotion. I will provide you with the information I have available to me so that you can decide which items in my posts you would like to be getting.
