*Expired* Get $10 Cash Back from Ebates

by Freebies4Mom on November 17, 2008 2:26 pm

Would you love to get cash rebates on your online purchases? Sign-up with Ebates and when you do your shopping from Ebates you can earn cash back from hundreds of online stores you already shop at. If you tell them that I referred you, then I will get a bonus too!

A small bonus when you sign-up is that they will put $10 into your account. It’s usually $5 but there’s a special promotion going on right now until Dec. 31. As soon as you make a $10 purchase through Ebates (from any store that offers cash back) then that $10 is yours. So, it’s like a $10 rebate on any item you purchase. You will get that $10 cash back as a check in your mailbox even if you don’t earn any other rebates from Ebates! That’s a fabulous rebate and so easy to do!

How easy is Ebates to use? It’s really only 3 steps:
1. Visit Ebates and sign-up (or sign-in if you are already registered) and tell them I sent you
2. Type in the name of the store in the top left-hand corner (i.e. Sephora) then click “Search”
3. Click on the store to shop. You will see how much cash back you will earn (8% at Sephora) and what coupons are available to use at that store. Just click on the name of the store and you are on your way to earning 8% cash back.

Ebates
is very easy to use, and you can still use coupon codes and get your cash back. The best part is that Ebates gives you the option to receive a check in the mail every 3 months when you have at least $5.01 in your account. Or you can have your cash deposited into your PayPal account. There is absolutely no paper work or follow-up for you to do to get your cash rebates, you simply find your online store on Ebates and then click on your store to start your shopping. You can also choose to not receive emails from Ebates by visiting “Communication Preferences” in “My Account”. This is honestly one of the easiest online rebate programs I’ve ever used. And my rebates are adding up fast even though I do not make many purchases online.

I do not use Ebates as a reason or an incentive to make online purchases. I use it as a way to get some cash back on purchases I would normally be making. And I will admit that I often forget to visit Ebates before I start shopping (and therefore miss out on cash back). The Britax Marathon I bought last night at Target.com – I could have gotten 4% cash back on it (but I was too excited about the deal to visit Ebates first and connect to Target.com that way). So I’m going to put a reminder up on the right-side of my blog (just below my subscribe box) to help you get to Ebates faster. I’m even going to print out the Ebates logo and tape it on my computer monitor to help me remember.

Questions on Ebates? Ask away and I’ll try to get an answer for you!

I file all offers that require a purchase under rebates.

That’s funny- I did exactly the same thing and then kicked myself for not going through Ebates. But that carseat deal was so amazing I wasn’t thinking straight! 🙂

I do the same thing – I completely forget to use ebates and I do a lot of online shopping. I used it the other day when I bought my dogs flea medication at drugstore.com. I got 7% cashback from ebates and 5% cashback from drugstore.com!

HELP! I am looking for a “promotions” spot on ebates and I think I must be getting old! CAN YOU DIRECT ME TO IT? I see that several of my website members saying they are getting the $10 credit… but finding out about it by EMAIL? please help me find it as I am an OLD TIMER (from the very beginning) member of ebates and should qualify?

Freelancebyu – After you log into Ebates you need to click on the link just after “Total Cash” in the upper dark green menu bar (the number is how much cash you have earned so far). This takes you to “My Account: Summary” and on this page you can see a list of “Promotions” that your account qualifies for. I encourage you to contact Ebates by email if you have any questions, they have responded promptly to my questions in the past!-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

Be careful using ebates. I just looked up a vacuum cleaner that I wanted. It is $154.69 @ Wal-Mart. Through ebates and wal-mart it was $178.00. Even with my ten dollar savings and my 2% it was more expensive than me just going to the store and getting it. All I am saying is know the price of the item before you buy!
