Mommy Wakeup Breakfast Smoothie #BTSIdeas #shop

Summer is over and I am searching for quick and easy meals to start our day off on the right foot. I know I’m not the only one adjusting to the new schedule. I also know I’m not the only one who is forgetting to feed myself breakfast because I’m too busy feeding the kids breakfast and packing their lunchboxes. I am exhausted by my new back to school schedule that starts at 5:00 am. Two hours of work later, my kids wake up and I’m still in the process of waking up. I need a nutritious breakfast (and a little caffeine) to jump start my day. The reality is that I have to eat my own breakfast on-my-feet in the kitchen while I’m doing other things. I created a Mommy Wakeup Breakfast Smoothie as my breakfast solution instead of skipping my breakfast because I don’t have time to sit down and eat it.

My kids need more protein and fruit in their breakfast, so I created a Bluebird Wakeup Breakfast Smoothie for them. My kids are excited about 1st and 2nd grade this year and I want them to arrive at school ready-to-learn by serving them a nutritious breakfast. In 2nd grade my son doesn’t eat lunch until 12:50 pm (yikes!) so that means I really need to feed him a good breakfast so he can be his happy self until his late lunch.
