Really Red Roasted Pepper Dip #WowThatsGood #shop

I’m not a fan of making New Years resolutions, but I am a fan of practicing healthier habits any time of the year in pursuit of a more balanced lifestyle. I want to share my recipes and tips with you along with Nestle products that you can incorporate into your healthier lifestyle ahead. First I want to share my Really Red Roasted Pepper Dip that I made for dipping the Lean Cuisine Three Cheese & Spinach Stuffed Pretzels into. My husband gave this dip and these pretzels a big thumbs up – we are definitely getting these pretzels again because the flavor reminds us of our favorite appetizers at restaurants that involve spinach and cheese. Luckily this Lean Cuisine appetizer is a lot less calories that what we get at restaurants (220 calories per serving for 4 pieces).

Options at Walmart #WowThatsGood #shop

You’ll find all of the Nestle products I used in my recipes at your Walmart store. Look for the Skinny Cow Divine in the candy section – sometimes this aisle is not in the grocery section of the store but near the seasonal section. Every store is different, and I guarantee it’s worth hunting down the candy section at your store  to taste these Divine Filled Chocolates Candy. CoffeeMate is easy to spot in the dairy section – look for the Sugar Free French Vanilla option to enjoy some sweetness in your coffee without any added sugar.

Lean Cuisine covers a large area in the frozen entree section. I was pleasantly surprised to find many Lean Cuisine products were on Rollback making the prices even better!

Sugar Free Green Tea Latte #WowThatsGood #shop

I’ve been craving a Sugar Free Green Tea Latte and I was determined to create a recipe for one. The CoffeeMate Sugar Free French Vanilla is perfect for my recipe because it adds the sweetness and creaminess needed to my green tea. I wanted some extra creaminess without frothing milk, so I made some whipped cream the old-fashioned way. I used an electric mixer to whip some heavy cream into a thick frothiness for the top of my drink. Then I sprinkled it with matcha green tea.

Have you tried the Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates? I made a Triple Divine Pie by layering them with whipped cream and then sprinkling on some cocoa. My favorite flavor is the caramel, but you can also get the peanut butter creme. This is a great way to indulge in dessert without adding too many calories (130 calories per pouch, each pouch has three chocolates inside).

Keep low calorie 5 minute meals handy #WowThatsGood #shop

I’ve shared a few recipes, now it’s time to share some tips! My biggest obstacle to making better choices for my meals is not having enough quick-to-prepare meals in my fridge, freezer and pantry. When I’m pressed for time in preparing a meal (which seems like every day) then I’m more likely to make less healthy choices or be tempted to dine out. By keeping a few low-calorie meals that require less than 5 minutes of preparation time handy, I’ve got a back-up plan for when I’m feeling rushed. And we all need a back-up plan in the kitchen!

Use a red plate to give your brain a STOP sign #WowThatsGood #shop

Do you have any red plates in your cupboards? Well, you might want to invest in a few because it can serve as your visual “STOP” sign at the end of the meal. I read about this visual cue in a magazine and now that I’m aware of it I think “STOP” when I see an empty red plate. It’s a great mental trick that you should try too!

Liven up veggies & chicken with savory sauces #WowThatsGood #shop

Maybe you’re like me and you have to force yourself to eat more veggies? Or you tend to think of chicken as bland? When you’ve got the right sauce, your veggies and chicken taste wonderful. I tried the Lean Cuisine Creamy Balsamic Chicken Wrap Additions and I loved the flavor. Instead of putting the spread on my multigrain tortilla, I mixed my veggies and chicken in it before wrapping it up. This product is unique because you add your own tortilla which gives you control over the type of carbs you’re adding to it. You could add a flour, corn, multigrain or gluten-free tortilla. You could even skip the tortilla completely.

Which of my recipes or tips are you going to try? I’d love to hear, please leave a comment below!
