It is that time between 2 weeks and 4 months where babies cry for hours at a time for no apparent reason. It is also a time of elevated cases of Shaken Baby Syndrome. Click for Babies is an organization that tries to raise awareness with new mother’s about the dangers of Shaken Baby Syndrome.
The organization asks that you knit at least 5 purple newborn baby hats and send them to a participating hospital. The goal is to get as many hats as possible to these hospitals by November 1, 2011 so that new mothers can have them for their newborns. There are instructions and patterns on how to knit or crochet the baby hats on the Click for Babies.
