My family loves to eat fruit for dessert as a sweet but healthy way to end our meals. We always keepĀ DOLEĀ® Fruit in Jars in our pantry so we’ve got fruit that’sĀ ready to serve! We’re oftenĀ on a time crunch at my house, but I never have to worry about how much time I have to prepare and serve fruit when I’ve got DOLEĀ® Fruit in Jars on hand. We serve as much as we need (without any washing, peeling or cutting involved) then reseal the jar by tightening the lid and storing in the refrigerator for later. It’s the perfect healthy snack during the summer when we need toĀ rehydrate and indulge in an all-natural treat between meals.

Here’s an easy Pineapple & Greek Yogurt recipe I adapted from DOLEĀ® that you can make for dessert at your house. Discover more delicious recipes on the Dole Pinterest page. I’d love it if you would Pin My RecipeĀ to your recipes or desserts board!

Look forĀ DOLEĀ® Fruit in Jars in the canned fruit section of your local grocery store in these five varieties:Ā Pineapple Chunks, Mandarin Oranges, Tropical Fruit, Sliced Peaches or Mixed Fruit. I love them all but my favorite is Tropical Fruit because of the variety of fruit inside! It’s good to know that all five of the Ā DOLEĀ® Fruit in Jars are packed in 100% fruit juice. When I’m buying packaged fruit, I always look for fruit packed in 100% fruit juice because the fruit is sweet enough and needs no added sugar! Ā The suggested retail price is $2.99 but I find the Pineapple Chunks and Tropical Fruit for only $1.99 a jar at my local Kroger. Keep an eye out for coupons because DOLEĀ® loves to treat you to extra savings!

DOLEĀ® Fruit in Jars

5 Days of Food and Fitness from Freebies 4 Mom

MONDAY – Start Your Week with an Exercise Plan

Write down exercise time on your calendar for the entire week so you can start the week with a plan to fit in fitness! I know that if I write exercise on my calendar, I’m more likely to actually exercise! I feel my best when I exercise in the morning after fueling up with a healthy breakfast!

TUESDAY – Incorporate Fruit into Every Meal

Your body loves all the goodness in all-natural fruits, so plan on incorporating it into every meal. It doesn’t have to be “fruit for dessert” because there are creative ways to incorporate fruit into breakfast smoothies, your salads or topĀ chicken or fish with it!

WEDNESDAY – Stock Up on Fruit

By making fruit readily available you’ll be more likely to eat fruit with your meals and as snacks. Think about ways you can make fruit more visible by featuring a fruit bowl as a centerpiece on your table, dedicating a space in your fridge for FRUIT ONLY and stocking-up onĀ DOLEĀ® Fruit in Jars and other non-perishable fruits in your pantry!

THURSDAY – Treat Yourself to Nature

Getting outdoors into natural spaces is a wonderful way to reflect and reenergize. I head to the park with my family and take along a snack for fruit. I like to takeĀ a small insinuated bag with ice in it so I can keep my fruit cool at the park.

FRIDAY – Reward Yourself with Dessert

Sometimes you can add a little something special to your fruit to make it into an extra special dessert. One idea is to pair fruit with greek yogurt like my recipe above. Another idea is to top your fruit with something special. I just discovered artisan toasted coconut chips and I’m topping my fruit with it when I want to enjoy dessert without any guilt!
