Salted Caramel Chocolate Chunk Brownies made with Pillsbury™ Purely Simple™ Baking Mix

Simple add-ins make these brownies truly a treat!
  • 1 box of Pillsbury™ Purely Simple™ Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • 3 Tablespoons water
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup berry fruit filling
  • coarse sea salt
  • 12 unwrapped caramels
  • 12 pecan halves
  • whipped cream, fresh berries and fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare a 12-cupcake pan with no-stick cooking spray with flour.
  3. Combine ingredients according to package directions.
  4. Stir in ¼ cup of berry fruit filling to bowl of brownie batter.
  5. Scoop brownie batter into the 12 cupcake spaces.
  6. Sprinkle coarse sea salt in the middle of each brownie.
  7. Add one caramel in the middle of each brownie, pushing it down until it sinks down about half-way into brownie batter.
  8. Place a pecan half on top of the caramel then sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  10. Cool brownies on a cooling rack then serve warm. Be sure that the caramel in the center is not too hot! These brownies may need to cool longer than other brownies you've made before.
