I’ve added a new list called the “Hottest 4 Sweeps” to my right column. And I’ll be blogging about some of the more exciting sweepstakes (think thousands of winners) like the Hanes Wedgie-Free Wednesday and Quaker Book of Life/Shutterfly Photo Book. Sweepstakes are a great way to score some neat freebies – but you’ve got to be willing to play the game for a chance to win (no guarantees!) and take a few minutes to enter.

Many of the sweepstakes that have thousands of winners require a daily or weekly entry – so the challenge becomes how do you remember to enter? Here are some tips from me and from my readers:
1. Put it on your calendar – this is the method I use, I actually have a weekly calendar by my computer and I just write down the name of the sweepstakes with a box to check it off each day (or each week). I’m only entering a few select sweepstakes and all the links are on my blog and can be accessed from my “Hottest 4 Sweeps” list – so that’s how I’m going to find those links.
2. Send yourself an email – if you are diligent about keeping your inbox neat and tidy, you could send yourself an email with the sweepstakes link. Simply make the subject something that will prompt you to enter the sweeps on the right day (i.e. “Wedgie-Free Wednesday Entry”).
3. Bookmark them – create a bookmark or add them to your favorites in a separate category, then browse your list once a day. Just make it a habit, maybe at the same time each day.

If you are a lucky winner of a sweepstakes, please share it with me! I’ll be giving everyone a weekly “Saturday Sweeps” update with the list of sweepstakes I’ve got on my calendar to enter and reports of my winnings and my readers winnings. I hope this will be a fun new way to get some freebies for some of my readers! Good luck!
