*Expired* Rebates 4 Mom

by Freebies4Mom on May 17, 2008 3:17 pm

I was slightly excited about the Huggies diaper deal I got today at Kroger, so I decided to go ahead and share it with you in one of my new features called “Rebates 4 Mom”. These are rebates I’m taking advantage of, or great ones I hear about that I think you’d be interested in.

Huggies Diaper Deal – Thanks to Baby Cheapskate, I bought 3 packages of Huggies today at Kroger and took advantage of multiple types of savings: sale price, manufacturer’s coupons, Shortcuts coupons, Kroger instant rebate (ends May 27), and Huggies mail-in rebate. When I distributed my savings evenly across the 3 packages, I got each package for less than $4. You’ll have to hurry to take advantage of the Huggies mail-in rebate because my form says it ends tomorrow. I was unable to get to the online form, but I found a form by the Huggies diapers at my Kroger store. I’ve already filled it out and it’s ready to mail! I actually plan on doing this deal again because even though I can’t do the Huggies $5 mail-in rebate I can still do The Caregivers Marketplace rebate for $1 back on each package. This is a perfect example of combining a sale with a store incentive (instant rebate) and manufacturer’s coupons and digital coupons and mail-in rebate. Amazing what coupons and rebates can do for you!
Honey Bunches of Oats – I’m collecting a few cereal coupons I won’t need, thanks to the help of Hooray for Free-bates! who got additional clarification directly from Kraft on what types of coupons they would accept to qualify for this mail-in offer for a FREE coupon for Honey Bunches of Oats. We always need more free cereal at my house!
CVS Extra Bucks – I’m taking advantage of the CVS Extra Care program as a way to earn rebates on the products I purchase there. I am learning how to “roll” my extra bucks each week thanks to Money Saving Mom and am buying most of my diapers there using extra bucks. Crystal will be posting the new week of deals at CVS very soon, so check her site for the latest CVS deals!

Don’t forget on Kroger deals, you can stack store coupons, too. I used the Kroger deal, store coupons ( Kroger sends them in the mail. I got a $2 off $10 in any diapers at Kroger coupons & the $3 off $15 Health & Beauty coupon…my diapers/baby products are with the pharmacy products ), $1.50 Off Manufacturer Coupons, Shortcuts coupons and the Caregivers Rebates.Altogether, I got 2 packs of diapers and a pack of wipes for a total of $5.48.I wrote a post last week on how you can discern and stack these coupons at grocery stores such as Kroger/Meijer, etc. The post is below.

Marin – you can submit printable coupons, but I would recommend printing 5 different coupons. The easiest way to do this is go to and – that should give you a few different cereal coupons to print.

Can you just print off 5 Target Archer Farms cereal coupons from A Full Cup and send those?

I love my CVS Extra bucks, and have gotten lots of free stuff as well. I also got my diaper deal at Fry’s they are apart of Krogers and had they same deal you got! I’ll be mailing my cereal rebate in this week! Yeah for free stuff!!! Thanks Heather:o)

Here is the info on the types of coupons they will accept, quoted directly from the email that Hooray For Free-bates! received “Any 5 original coupons can be used from any cereal brands other than Post Honey Bunches of Oats. Coupons from newspapers, in-store coupon machines, print out from the grocery and internet are all acceptable. The coupons must have an expiration date of later than April 1, 2008.” I wouldn’t worry about the coupons you sent, Julie – I bet they are going to be very open to accepting most of the submittals they receive. Because they really just want more people to get hooked on their cereal!

RE: the Honey Bunches of Oats cereal rebate…is there only a certain type of coupon that is accepted? (I’ve already sent mine off, so I hope it was OK.) Please direct me to where I can find more info on this.

CVS Extra Bucks have been wonderful for our family of seven! We have saved so much on toothpaste, shampoo, styling products, Diapers, wipes, detergents, & A Ton on the fun stuff (makeup, lotion, skin care, nail polish). I don’t know about anyone else? Sometimes I can feel a bit gulity spending my Hubby’s hard earned money on my extras. CVS Extra Bucks is definatly worth checking out!!!
