Update 10/21/09: I’ve heard mixed success on this offer – obviously experiences vary from store to store. Remember to ask for clarification on redeeming this offer so that you know what’s free (and what’s not).

I had no problem doing this with my son. They didn’t charge a sitting fee or tell us we had to buy something in order to get the collage. The photographer was great! The collage turned out wonderful!

I was excited about this offer, we made the appointment, brought the boys in, got through the pics – loved them, gave the coupon, and then….The sales associated pointed out the coupon states “restrictions apply”. So they can make up the restrictions? We had to purchase a sheet any size in order to get the Halloween collage – which she stated was a $29.99 value. So we got 2 5×7’s without the collage effects & the collage for around $9.00. Good luck if you try this one – I do not plan on going back there in the future.

Maybe Sears got jealous of the wildly popular free portrait deals that Picture People has offered here and here? The Lives of Kaylee & Mya just told me that Sears has a free 8×10 portrait collage that you can take advantage of through October 31. There is no session fee and they say it’s a $44.98 value (which I find hard to believe since it looks like you only get one 8×10 print). Mention the coupon when scheduling your appointment and ask questions when you call if you have them!

I don’t usually post portrait deals because I know it is so tempting to buy more than the free package. But I think if you walk-in with a plan and stick to your plan – if you only want to get the free photo you can do that. And I know many of my readers do successfully!
