This monthly wrap-up will help you find some of the best stuff I’ve blogged about in the past month as well as thank my readers and fellow bloggers who are helping my blog grow.
September was a unique month because I was forced to take a 4-day blogging break due to the power outage caused by Hurricane Ike. I am very lucky that we got power back so quickly, there are still houses in our area that do not have power. Thanks goes to Christina at Northern Cheapskate for taking such good care of my blog during my absence.
Best new resource:Free Children’s Audiobooks
Amazing how by listing one free resource, my fellow bloggers and frugal readers jump in with more free resources to contribute! I’ll definitely be following-up as I learn more about how to get free downloadable audiobooks.
Best new free sample: Free Kashi Cookie
I love everything that Kashi makes, and want to make sure that none of my readers missed out on this great sample that Christina shared with you here. I’m hearing from readers who are getting this sample in the mail, I am eagerly awaiting mine!
My favorite post: Money 4 Mom: Invest in Yourself
I did not plan this to be a summary of what I’m discussing in my Money 4 Mom series, but it naturally became that as I wrote. I’m getting a better feel for the purpose of this weekly series that I started with the goal of sharing tips with bloggers. Now it’s turning into more of a resource for anyone with a small internet-based business. I look forward to bringing you more useful information and resources as we learn together.
The best giveaway I hosted was for a Signing Time DVD (currently going on with almost 400 entries!) because it was the only new giveaway I hosted this month. The giveaway ends on Thursday, so be sure to check it out! I promise you that October will be a month full of giveaways! I’ve got 5 new giveaways that I’m working on setting-up.
A big thank you to my 3,788 daily readers this month. That’s the average number of unique visitors I received each day over the month of September.
A big thank you also to the blogs who wanted to share Freebies 4 Mom with their readers. Here are my top 6 referring blogs (and their newest post). I recommend you visit each of them when you have a chance!

Wishing you a great October! I’m hoping I can continue to make some improvements and bring you more outstanding freebies as I approach my one-year blogiversary on October 21.
Thanks for the link to my Green Space post over at BeCentsAble.net! I love your site–if it weren’t for you I never would have got my Kashi cookie. My hubby complains that all the samples are for me (well duh!) but he’ll be happy when we get the Gorilla glue in the mail.
Man, I got my free Kashi cookie and wolfed it down before the kids got home from preschool.Regarding “green” couponing, it is totally possible just like BeCentsable says. Here is my column on the subject, published originally in ink-on-paper magazine Cliff Dweller in August.http://mommyswishlist.blogspot.com/2008/09/greener-than-you-think.html
I also got my Kashi cookie and my son eat it, he like it. I love you your blog, I read your blog everyday . Good work, thanks.
I got my cookie too. I did eat it but … is this terrible to say… I would have preferred a homemade cookie instead ;0) BUT thanks Kashi!
I got my Kashi cookie last week and yum it was tasty:)
