Penguin Young Readers is offering a giveaway of the book Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. Visit the author, Laurie Halse Anderson, at her website and blog. Discuss this book (and here what others are saying) at the Speak Up About Speak blog. This book is for the teen audience and I’ll be giving a finished copy to 2 of my lucky readers.
Here’s more information about Speak directly from Penguin:
Laurie Halse Anderson’s award-winning, highly acclaimed, and controversial novel about a teenager who chooses not to speak rather than to give voice to what really happened to her marks ten years in print with this special anniversary edition. Bonus material created for this edition includes a new introduction and afterword from the author, resources, and discussion guide. Will also include a preview of Anderson’s newest book, Wintergirls. The quintessential edition for all fans of this powerfully moving book.

My daughter would love this book.
Alison is reading the Little House books. I think it is great she loves them as much as I did at her age.
My son is reading the second Eragon. My girls are reading the Magic Tree House series.
My kids (ages 9 and 6) have just finished the new Wimpy kid book, and now my son (9yo) is reading this series by Anthony Horowitz – sorry, don’t know the name. My daughter (6yo) is working her way through the Geronimo Stilton books. I’m reading the Mermaid Chair by Sue Monk Kidd. I’ve never read Speak, sounds very interesting, and I love a good read!
I loved reading Speak back in high school, it was such a powerful message!
Right now my kids are reading a bio on Helen Keller and the 3rd sequel to Eragon called Briscoe. Thanks and hope to win.shannon
I read this book a few years ago and it is absolutely wonderful. It’s a young adult book, but I was in my 20s and enjoyed it. The author is originally from Syracuse, NY — minutes away from my home town. She did a reading in Oswego (where I went to college) at River’s End Bookstore where I bought the book.I can’t say enough great things about it. I already have my own copy, but I hope lots of your readers enter.
