And watch for a new giveaway that I’ll be posting by tonight!
This past week I got all kinds of stuff for free at Walmart by using coupons. Who knew that Walmart’s low prices make for some great deals using coupons, even though they don’t double and triple them like my Kroger store does. I might be visiting Walmart a little more often now to see what else I can get for free. And I think I’m addicted to All You – I’ve never seen such a cheap ($1.77) magazine filled with so many (34) manufacturer’s coupons.
For my Houston, Atlanta, and Chicago readers, I’ve heard that the American Baby Faire is a great event to go to for free samples and coupons (but they do charge admission), and if you are an expecting mom don’t miss Chicco’s BumpaPalooza event for Houston on Saturday, May 17 – it’s free to attend, the first 100 get a free Chicco You & Me carrier and you might help set a new Guinness World Record.
Just when you started to get low on your supply of free Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Cereal, a new super cereal coupon emerged. It’s the new $3 Kraft LiveActive Cereal coupon – I’ll take it to Walmart because Traci told me they have it priced at $2.79. But wait! You can get more Honey Bunches of Oats for free if you buy the Sunday paper! I’ve heard that there is a form to get a full refund on a box of Honey Bunches of Oats in this Sunday’s paper. The coupons and refund forms in the Sunday paper ad inserts vary slightly by region, but I’m hoping this rebate offer will be showing up nation-wide this Sunday. Anything else good in this Sunday’s ad inserts? It all depends on what you buy for your household, but I will definitely be using the new Barilla Piccolini Pasta coupon (save 50 cents on 2) when I see this new product on the shelves, remember I told you about this cute book offer?
Ocean Spray continues to reward me for being a fan of their products and they mailed me a coupon for a free bottle of Ocean Spray 100% Juice. Speaking of getting coupons in the mail for free products, I’m hoping that Country Bob will be sending me a coupon to try their sauce for free (they sell them at Kroger and other stores). And don’t miss the Nestle Crunch Sweeps because they are giving away 10,000 free candy bar coupons! And even more companies want to send me coupons to try their products for free, including Kahiki and YoMommy.

Hi, thanks for all the good that you do! I love your blog, it has saved my family so much money. I do have a question about the Coupons Inc. site, I clicked on your link to them but I can’t seem to find where I go as a consumer to print out coupons.
YES! Walmart will match a competitor’s ad price! Just bring the ad with you to show them the price you want. My friend did when she went with me to Walmart to get Borden’s Organic Milk at a better price – and it worked! If your cashier questions you, please politely ask to speak to the manager.
speaking of walmart they will match grocery store prices so if your Krogers (or other stores in the area) have milk etc cheaper just bring the ad and walmart will give you the cheaper price. (one of the clerks at walmart told me about this)
Your blog is so great! Every since I subscribed I’m able to keep up a little better and take advantage of a lot of great offers. I’ve been getting a lot of Walmart samples. I just wrote a product review about the Fiber One. Thanks for having such a great blog and for sharing it with everyone.I hope to get better with taking advantage of the store deals. One step at a time! :-)
Regarding Walmart and their prices: I’ve begun doing all of my grocery shopping at Walmart, since I saw that, in general, their prices are sometimes $2.00 cheaper. For instance, their YoBaby is $2.88 vs. $4.29 at Kroger. Kroger is extremely marked up, in my opinion, and even with their coupon deals, they come out ahead. Kroger is closer to me, so I still visit their for convenience items, but with shopping at Walmart (even without coupons sometimes – SHAME!)I can get a LOT more food for less money, plus I can buy all of the other household items and not pay convenience prices. I just don’t really expect a discount on milk or most meats.WALMART is my new shopping source and is saving us LOTS on groceries and we don’t skimp have to skimp on the quality either!!
I found the Live Active yesterday @ Walmart for $2.79. Free cereal, YEA!!
If you have a Publix near you, check out their sale on Post cereals (inluding LiveActive) this week. Or read all about my Publix moneymaker on my blog :)
