I’m closing this giveaway to entries.
I don’t know that I have any suggestions on improvements. There is a lot of information to take in. Very helpful though.
How about a gallery of sorts for all of our photos of our savings?I didn’t know about this site until just now. I’ll definitely be bookmarking this.
Colleen’s entry via email “I also agree to add Wegmans..it is a great store with lots of variety.”
Jonna’s entry via email “I am really new to this idea of checking out deals. I had a hard time figuring out how to post. I love all the coupon’s a great money saving deals. I will continue checking you all out frequently. Thanks”
I’ve been to the site before – but haven’t frequented it b/c I find it difficult to navigate.
Just learning the site! It is wonderful that this is offered! Is there a place that shows what stores do doubles? Just curious! Wow this seems like a daunting task…way to go!!!! It is showing to be helpful already for me.
I just learned about this site and I am excited to get started.
Love the site…..my suggestion would be aome kind of chart that lists store, items, price, and coupons needed (links if necessary)…..this would make it alot easier and would be easy to copy and take to the store with me :)
I would love to see more stores like Albertsons or Vons featured. In CA we don’t have all those stores mentioned like aldi, hy-vee,Fareway. Thanks.
I have been interested in starting a Long’s Drugs habit too. Only I have trouble finding resources online for that store so have been hesitant to start. I pick up the rebate books and fliers each month and they have some great deals. Deals that could be amazing with coupon match-up too. As good as Walgreens? CVS? Not sure, but Maybe it is time to check it out.
Maybe letting us know who all doubles coupons? I am not sure…your site is great!
Ohhh! I was thinking Sam’s too. But, it would take some work! Love the site.
I think it is a great resource and kudo’s to all the hard work going on. My suggestions might be a bit of leg work, but I’d love to see a Sam’s list. They don’t have a flyer, but they do have deals. I’m in OK and we have Crest. If that’s more than just here, it would be awesome to have a list for it. They have a great meat counter.
Alittle difficult to navigate…but over all nice site.
I wish deals from Giant (different from Giant Eagle or Giant PA) was offered.
We just used the Walgreen’s offer for the free 8*10! I only paid 21 cents! Great site, I added your link to my blog!
I agree it’s an excellent idea and resource.. I get a bit confused trying to navigate the site… I think with a few tweaks in the design, it would be HUGE… It’s truly an excellent idea!
I think it is a great resource. I especially like the broken down prices of diapers. But, like others, I found it difficult to navigate. I also thought the top banner was too large. A little too much scrolling needed to figure out what you were going to get to.
I love the Grocery Gathering, but I agree with the others that its a bit difficult to navigate. Also, I would love to see Giant and Harris Teeter added. Thanks!
April’s entry via email “Anyway, I love the grocery gathering! The only thought I had, like many others, is that it is a little difficult to navigate.”
I think it’s a great resource, but I think there should be some consistency between the sites. For example, some of the sites list applicable coupons to make truly good deals. The one that I always check (because it’s my local store) only repeats what’s in the ad, and that’s not helpful at all. I want to know what’s actually a low price and what coupons (newspaper or IP) that I can apply to save even more.

Like the idea of the site but I found it hard to use. And the stores I use are not up to date. I would also like to see Frys up there.
I love the Grocery Gathering. I think my only suggestion is to see if there is any way to have all of the Monday posts/stores in one place and all of the Thursday posts/stores in one place. It seems to be a bit dis-jointed sometimes. But I definitely appreciate getting the information! Thanks!
I looked at this last week at your suggestion and was glad to see that they do have Cub on the list (so many times it seems that we Minnesotans get left out of such lists) — but no Rainbow (Roundy’s), the main competitor here. I like the easy navigation to the different stores deals, within one post. I also read the tips on coupon organization and am trying their method for now. It would be helpful if the deals listings included expiration dates for the coupons suggested: I wanted to do a Mission tortilla deal last week with a coupon, but I didn’t get to the store until Friday. The coupon expired on Wednesday.
It’s a great site although I do think that they need a better site design/theme. It would be easier to navigate that way. Thanks!
The concept is a great one, but to get to the information I had to scroll and click quite a bit. One suggestion: try to condense the size of the text and consolidate the links.
I enjoy checking out all the great deals, like a previous comment HyVee and Fareway would be awesome!
Like another commenter, I didn’t realize I needed to scroll down to see what was going on. It might help to specify regional store sale dates (I know Kroger sale ad dates are different in other areas). And adding a comment besides just listing what’s on “sale” this week but if it’s actually a *good* price.
I would like to se Hy-Vee and Fareway on the list. Also King Soopers which is in Colorado would be great, my sister lives out there and shops a lot there, and i know she would love to be able to find some great deals!!
This doesn’t really have much to do with the weekly deals, but I think it would be nice to have an Aldi price list where you could compare, for example, a jar of pasta sauce is regularly $1.09…is that better or more expensive than this weeks deal on pasta sauce at another store?
where it says no gimmick here on right side, there seems to be some type overlay.
First day here, but I love the freebies list from Walmart and I’d love to be entered.
Interesting concept…but not very user friendly..maybe with more visits it will become easier.
I found it tough to navigate, but great resource
I love BeCentsible; it has SO many great resources! But I agree that it doesn’t feel very user-friendly. I’ve found it tricky to find things; it takes a lot of steps to get where you want to go. A more compact format would be great!
Store suggestion: Wegmans :)
I think it’s a great concept. The site as it is right now is not very user-friendly. I think they can reduce the fonts so as to make it more compact. Also, the color scheme looks very dull. Maybe they can brighten things up a little that way.
I love this resource!! If I had to pick some things, though…it would be..1. Add Marsh to the list. I know they went bankrupt a while back, but there are still quite a few stores out there. I’d even be willing to host it when I got my new site up.2. The site definitely needs a redesign. Again, something I’d offer to do if they were interested…something much cleaner and three columns. Those are my two biggest. It would be great if they were self-hosted…but that kind of goes against the whole “centsable” part of it since it costs money *lol*
Charlene’s comment via email “For Grocery gathering I would love to see Raleys and/or Longs Drugs. Also some of the ladies are a little slow to post deals (like Denise or Sisterly Savings) and by the time they get them up the stores are out of nearly everything. This week’s Rite Aid is a great example since makeup is BOGO with MQ out there making lots of stuff free and she still doesn’t have the breakdowns listed. HTH!”
I LOVE GROCERY GATHERING! I will say that the only problem I have is that SaveALot is not one of the featured stores. I know it’s a regional thing, but it would still be great to see it on there for those of us who live near one!
Perhaps they could have more than one person host the grocery store deals. For example beans and rice host the Safeway deal and she was traveling on vacation and couldn’t do it. If they have more than one person then we should always have a report each week.
I think it is a great resource. Extremely useful. One weakness – for lack of a better word – I found was that the first time I went on it I sat there clicking on “Monday gathering” like 20 times assuming it was doing nothing. It had of course gone to the Monday page but you would not realize this without scrolling down. I’m sure very few people find this problem – but there has to be at least a handful whom are un-computer savvy like myself.
I was going to suggest adding HEB to the Thursday list, but I found HEB on the list today! Now if HEB would only double coupons….
