Print coupons without turning on your computer. I didn’t know this was even possible until I tried the HP Photosmart Premium Printer with TouchSmart Web. When HP contacted me about test-driving this new printer, I was mostly excited about the high-quality photo printing capabilities. But by far the best feature is that my HP printer is connected to the internet without the need for a computer to even be connected to it. I can print coupons, print maps, print coloring pages, print photos from my Snapfish account, and even print today’s news all directly from my printer. Want to see how it works? Watch this demo to see this printer in action.
Thanks to HP, I’m giving one of my lucky readers the HP Photosmart Premium Touchsmart Web All-in-One Printer (retail price of $399). Be sure to fill out the form below to enter this giveaway, and check out the trade-in offer to save $50 on this printer while recycling your old printer.
Favorite 4 Features
I could go on and on about how wonderful my new HP Photosmart Premium printer is, but I wanted to highlight my favorite four features for you to get a feel for exactly how much this printer can do (more than I ever imagined). You can also watch this printer in action.
My printer…
is web connected without a computer
prints photos that look like professional
uses individual color ink cartridges
does it all (print, scan, copy, fax)
Web Connected Printer
Guess what? This is the first printer of it’s kind – it’s more like it’s own computer because it’s directly connected to the internet. It has TouchSmart Web which means there’s a screen you can touch to browse the applications and enter information. It kind of works similar to my iPhone – and it’s so intuitive to use that even my 2-year-old can navigate it (this means he can print all the coloring pages he wants). My favorite application is printing coupons from Coupons.com. It’s so easy for me to check now to see if there are new coupons, even if I’m about to head out the door and don’t have time to turn my computer on!
Print Photos that look Professional
Boasting “lab-quality photos” I had to put my printer to the test. There is a separate tray to hold photo paper and the photo printing results are impressive. When you look at a 4×6 photo that just printed, it looks like a photo you may have ordered from a photo lab. But you just printed it! Even better you can edit your photos directly on your printer (fix red eye, crop, zoom) and you can print 8.5×11 photos without any borders.
Individual Color Ink Cartridges
I’ve always wanted a printer that has individual color ink cartridges because it makes sense to replace each color as needed because I can tell that I use each color at a different rate. My printer uses these individual ink cartridges: black, cyan, magenta, yellow, and photo black. They are priced between $9.99 and $11.99 each, but if you buy them bundled together they cost even less. And I’ll be sharing my tips on how to take advantage of store discounts to buy your ink cartridges at deep discounts in my “Frugal Printing Tips” series over the next two weeks.
All-In-One Printer
This is the first “all-in-one” printer that I’ve owned and I must admit I was foolish for not getting one sooner. I can’t believe how much time I’m saving by being able to scan and copy documents so easily (and I can do that without even turning my computer on). I can also set-up this printer to send faxes. I’ll never pay for copies again since I’ve got my own printer that copies – it even can enlarge and reduce documents and print double-sided. I’m a big fan of “all-in-one” printers now, it’s the perfect way to save time and money by being able to do everything myself.
$50 Trade-In Offer
Want to save $50 on a new HP Photosmart Premium printer and recycle your old printer? Check out this $50 trade-in offer. You can get $50 off either in-store or online by following the steps described. HP even will give you a pre-paid label to ship your old printer for free!
Happy Halloween from HP Creative Studios
Everything you need to print your way to a Happy Halloween. One of my favorite free printable projects are the Halloween Costume Masks. Of course there are also several collections of pumpkin carving templates if you want to do something new with your pumpkin.
Share Your Frugal Printing Tips
I’ve asked my readers to share their frugal printing tips and almost 200 have responded! So over the next two weeks I’ll be sharing my own tips, highlighting a few features of my new printer, and sharing your tips. I hope this will be an interactive tip-sharing session and I encourage you to share your frugal printing tips by answering four questions right now.

I love that the photos look like they are professionally printed! I could really make use of that. (Also, hoping that I only entered once… I can't remember if I submitted an entry earlier in the giveaway. I'm pretty sure I didn't, but not sure… I'm sorry if I double entered!)

I desperetly need a new printer. I love internet coupons, but have to go to my sister in laws house everytime I want to print coupons. I would print my owns photo, coupons etc. If i had my own printer (that actually works)
Well, I'd use it to print pictures to use for Christmas gifts! Too cooL!
I think it's just awesome that it doesn't have to be connected to a computer. And the low cost of the inks is a great advantage as well.
love the cost of ink is inexpensive
What attracts me to this neat printer primarily is that I like that it is a web connected printer. Not only it's convenient but it also will save me some electricity when turning the printer on without having to turn the computer on.
The fact that the photos come out looking so Professional is a real plus! You could frame them, and give as gifts.
My aunt has this printer and it's gorgeous. I had a Samsung ML-2010 laser printer and it was awesome. Could print a full page of text in the blink of an eye and the toner cartridge lasted forever.
I would just LOVE this printer, my old HP isn't working.
I love the internet feature!!!
I love that it has a scanner. I miss having one :( Oh and love that I can print to it when I am downstairs and the printer is upstairs in the office :)
The coupons from coupons.com will print using only half the sheet of paper which not only saves paper but also makes it so much easier to cut them since there is no extra paper between the coupons. This is major!!! I love this printer!!!!
As an artist and photographer this would really come in handy. Love it !!!
I love to have one, As I just started couponing
What a cool printer! It definitely looks like it "does it all." I'd love it even more if it had an app for AllRecipes.com. I love printing out recipes from there. :)stephanie@metropolitanmama.net

printing coupons!!!
I would so love to win this!! I was printing my coupons at the library for $0.10 per page, but they raised the price to $0.20 per page so I stopped printing them. The last printer we had was an HP and we loved it.
I would love not to have to boot up my desk top to print. My laptop won't hook up to my old printer.
Theres too much that I LOVE about this HP photosmart printer!!! First off, it looks professional, it would definately go to my work! I love that it prints high-quality pictures, since I'm always printing off pictures to give to my clients (pictures of their dogs, that is), and always adding pictures to brochures that I pass out to let people know about my business (a dog day care..woof). Also it would be so great to print stuff off without turning on my outdated computer. And whats the best part is that it will save energy. Who wouldn't love this??!!tstallings08@yahoo.com

I always have the problem of my printer running out of ink quickly but it would seem the individual ink cartridges would last longer!
Great invention! Ive never seen anything like that. Not being online to print.Babeofbryan@aol.comMargaret Porter
If/when it does connect to your computer, is it Mac compatible?
I like HP products and this looks like a winner to me!! BlastOffWithMimi.com
I need a new printer so badly and was looking at these. How often do you need to replace each cartridge, with normal (couponing) print usage?
I like that it's connected to the web, but I'm interested to see how fast it burns through ink. Maybe I'll get a chance to find out with the giveaway, though!
not having to wait for the computer to load just to print those last minute coupons would be great!
the coupon printing is a great feature. but what about that mapquest! when do you think FB will appear? lol
this sounds so awesome!
I like that it uses individual ink cartridges.
I love the fact taht it prints photos that look professional as well as printing coupons without having to be on the computer!WOW!
Printing Coupons!
I just love that it prints good photos!!!
Wowzer, I just looked up the price tag on this printer and….well, for that cost, it better do everything a $300 laptop would do. LOL! Thanks for the giveaway because this looks like something amazing to have. I love the web ability and Internet apps.
My tip for printing coupons is to set your printer preferences to Black Only (no need to waste colored ink). Then do a medium quality. The low quality doesn't produce a good bar code and high quality is just wasting ink, since the cash registers can scan medium quality coupons.
The coupon printing would be a hit for me! That's all I do on my printer, is print coupons! It's madness!
