Penguin Young Readers has offered a book giveaway for the book If I Stay by Gayle Forman. This book is for the teen audience and I’ll be giving a paperback advanced reader copy to three of my lucky readers.
Here’s more information about this book directly from Penguin:
In a single moment, everything changes. Seventeen-year- old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall riding along the snow-wet Oregon road with her family. Then, in a blink, she finds herself watching as her own damaged body is taken from the wreck…
A sophisticated, layered, and heartachingly beautiful story about the power of family and friends, the choices we all make—and the ultimate choice Mia commands. The author, Gayle Forman, is an award-winning author and journalist whose articles have appeared in numerous publications, including Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, The Nation, and The New York Times Magazine. She lives in Brooklyn with her family.

I’m reading The Story of Science by Joy Hakim, It’s GREAT!!!!! My son (10) is reading 14 books for the “Battle of the Books” competition, here in Alaska. Now he is re-reading Lizzie Bright and the Buckminister Boy by Gary Schmidt and Half Moon Investigation by Eoin Colfer. All great books! :-)
I’m currently reading Stephenie Meyer’s The Host. She’s the author of the Twilight Saga, but this book isn’t for the young adult crowd. It’s awesome!

I am reading The History of the Jews which is extremely informative.Previously I read a book on Tesla..I like historical reading.
My daughter and I are reading BLIND FAITH byEllen Wittlinger as her best friend’s mom is under care for brain cancer. We both wanted to help her and are reading and discussing what info we find on the internet but also wanted to read other’s experiences in order to be there for her with more than compassion.

The series of books including Twilight is what most all the kids around here are into right now,I think it’s about vampires? It’s far from The Little Women and Judy Blume books I grew up reading! I remember one of my favorite books was about a boy who was stranded alone and lived in a tree-My Side of the Mountain-I recently read it again as an adult! Still intriguing!
My kids are reading Jess (an American Girls Book) and I am currently reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks.
I’m reading 3 books, don’t recomend reading that way, 1)Evidence of Mercy by Terri Blackstock, 2)The End of The Age by Pat Robertson, and 3)Scale Down by Danna Demetre. My youngest boy Mark(10) is reading Civil War on Sunday by Mary Pope Osborne, My older boy Aj(12) is reading Bone somesort of comic series that he his into. And of course The Bible!
