Cynthia Powell has always had a tender heart for keepsakes. When she had her first child, she wanted to be home with him. She started looking for a business that would allow that for her family. In May 1999 she opened Chicks & Cubs. She opened the business with Patty-Cakes (hand/footprint keepsakes) and baby shoe bronzing.
