I love baking treats for the holidays! I’ve got a really easy cookie recipe to share with you: Chocolate Candy Cane Kisses Cookies made with Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix and Hershey’s® Candy Cane Kisses that I purchased at Randalls. You’ll love the combination of the chocolate and candy cane flavors plus I’ve got an easy trick to turn your sugar cookie mix into a chocolate sugar cookie mix. I think you’ll agree with me that the ease and love are baked right into these cookies!
I shopped at Randalls for my Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix and Hershey’s® Candy Cane Kisses in the baking aisle and the holiday section. I rely on Betty Crocker™ cookies mixes to be able to make cookies with the small amount of time I have to bake.
The trick to turning your sugar cookie mix into a chocolate sugar cookie mix is to add an instant chocolate pudding mix to it. You’ll get a really nice chocolate flavor plus your cookie will be super moist. Because you’re adding in the instant pudding, you’ll need to add in a little water so that your cookie dough will take form.
Here is my recipe for Chocolate Candy Cane Kisses Cookies. My kids loved it so much that they’ve already requested a second batch! It’s also the perfect cookie for gifting to neighbors and friends because it’s so pretty and festive.
Chocolate Candy Cane Kisses Cookies
Ingredients:
1 bag of Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix (17.5 oz)
1 bag of Hershey’s® Candy Cane Kisses
1Â stick of butter softened (1/2 cup)
1Â egg
1 package (about 4 oz)Â chocolate instant pudding
1Â Tablespoon water (or as much as you need to get dough to form)
Directions:
1. Â Soften butter at room temperature about an hour before baking
2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
3. Â In a large bowl, mix all ingredients with an electric mixer
4.  Spoon dough into small balls on an ungreased cookie sheet
6. Â Press cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
7. Â Allow cookies to cool about 10 minutes before pressing in the Candy Cane Kisses in the center of each cookie
I hope you love my cookie recipe!
