Join me in building your music library for free. You need to be willing to explore a wide variety of music in order to benefit from free music, but I can tell you from my personal experience that I’ve discovered some enjoyable new music from my free experience.

Here is what you can get free on iTunes right now:

Apple iTunes
Free Single of the Week

Every week it changes, I try to download the new one each week and then if I don’t like the song I just delete it

Summer Playlist 2009
A collection of 22 free iTunes songs from Nylon Magazine. I’ve listened to a few songs and I’ve liked what I’ve heard so far! This offer expires Aug. 31.

I know there is a lot more free music out there, and I’ve listed a few more free music resources here. But please feel free to share your favorites by posting a comment!

Urban Outfitters is a good one as well, in their Blog is the LSTN series. For the NYLON one to work, people should go to NYLON's website first and click on the link there.

I went to download the playlist from Nylon, and got a message on iTunes telling me the code had already been used, that each code could only be used once.
