Each Sunday I do a roundup of what was in my mailbox that week. This is a great place to find new samples that you can request, as well as learn a few things about free samples and what might be showing-up in your mailbox next.
*REMINDER* Bloggers, this is your last chance to enter the giveaway for a custom header designed by Purple Baobab Design. It closes tonight at midnight (CST) and the winner will be announced tomorrow morning in Money 4 Mom.
What’s in my mailbox this week?
These freebies are still available to request:
Kotex – 4 Samples – They love to mail me samples and coupons. So many that it’s hard to keep track of where they are all coming from – I think this one is from entering the Perfect Fit Sweeps – but be sure you request all 4 samples that are currently available! You’ll get lots of coupons with them!
Always Infinity – I’m guessing this sample came directly from P&G;, since I already got my sample from Walgreens and it didn’t come in a blue box so it wasn’t my sample from Walmart.
Nature’s Bounty Tote – I was so thrilled to get this in the mail, that it is the best free sample for October.
Toys ‘R Us $3 off $3 Coupon – My youngest son turns 2 this month, and Toys ‘R Us mailed us this coupon to celebrate. Of course it is a challenge to buy something for FREE with that $3 coupon – but great that they don’t require a high minimum purchase in order to use it. I’ve heard from some readers that they got a $5 coupon, maybe they send these out to the older kids?
Kiwi Magazine – I got a free one-year subscription thanks to this offer from Annie’s (ended 10/31). But don’t fret, you can get a free subscription to by visiting Freebie Friday.
Kraft Food & Family – This is a great free magazine to get that includes recipes, coupons, and in the Holiday/Winter issue there are recipe cards to punch out and gift tags with a truffle recipe on the back.
Tide Total Care $1 Coupon – Sometimes you think you will be getting a sample, and instead you get only a coupon. I’m guessing that one of my sample requests here or here was just a coupon (maybe they ran out of samples?).
Tide To Go $1 Coupon – Here’s a coupon you can request by mail. I shared it with you here.
Vocalpoint – As a member of Vocalpoint I get great coupons in my mailbox – this time for Starkist Tuna. I encourage you to sign-up for this “word-of-mouth” sampling program, it’s very easy to participate in – all you have to do is share the coupons!
These freebies are no longer available or were a special sampling opportunity:
Hershey’s Bliss – Just in time for Halloween, my coupon for free Hershey’s Bliss Chocolates arrived. I won the coupon in this sweeps, you could actually win more than once. I’ll be sending this special coupon to the winner of my 1,000 Coupons Giveaway.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume – I got this sample from Walmart and it included a coupon to Save $2 that doesn’t expire until 5/31/2010. It’s no longer available to request, but get more free samples from Walmart.
Asics Socks from Self Magazine – Sometimes magazines offer freebies, but I usually don’t get them in my mailbox (probably because they just run-out quickly). Well, Self Magazine did a one-day sign-up for the Self Challenge and sent everyone a pair of Asics socks. I got them in my mailbox, so now Self magazine will be on my list as a magazine that comes thru on their freebie offers.
Magazines – Woman’s Day and Traditional Home – these free sample offers are no longer available, but please check out my Free Magazines 4 Mom for the best sources of free magazines.
That’s it! Another fabulous week of free sampling. So, what was in your mailbox this week? I can’t wait to hear from you, please leave a comment!
If you are curious, here’s what other freebies I’m getting in my mailbox.
For those of you who never get Toys R Us coupons just make sure you give them your home phone number when they ask you for it at the registers. Many stores ask for phone numbers. It’s not that they want to call you or sell you stuff like everyone thinks, but they use your home telephone number to send you coupons. They link your home address to that telephone number and so send the person who’s telephone number it is coupons in the mail. Other stores like Victoria’s secret and “Limited Too”do this as well. Its a great opportunity to get coupons so don’t be shy!
GREAT SITE
Evelyn – Look carefully at the “renewal notice” – my guess it is an offer that you can take advantage of or ignore and that it is not a bill. I have never been “billed” for any of my free magazines. If you have any questions, you need to call the magazine’s customer service to confirm that your free subscription will end when it expires and that your subscription will not be automatically renewed and subsequently sent a bill. I have never had a problem with my free magazine subscriptions. Only once did I even need to make a phone call to ask about one, and it ended up that they made a mistake in the wording on the renewal offer and I had nothing to worry about.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom
My daughter got both the $3 off and the $5 off coupons for her first birthday, but they came weeks apart, there may be another coupon on it’s way – I hope so!
With my Traditional Home, I got a bill for renewal plus adding 2 other people for free . Did you get it? Do I answer cancel? Any ideas what to do with it? I don’t want to be billed for this free magazine.Evelyn
Thanks for sharing all of these samples and freebies. I received the Kotex sample this week. I’ve just started receiving things–thanks to you!
My daughter turns two next week and she still hasn’t gotten hers. In fact, I haven’t gotten anything from them.
My kids are all under age 6 and have always gotten the $3 off $3 at Toys R Us, so I don’t think it matters the age (the $5 off $25 usually comes a month before their bday, in case you want to buy them a gift). It takes us a little while to walk through the store, but I am usually able to find something for $5 or less, so that I don’t have to pay out too much, and they enjoy getting something new. It’s a nice time to go out with just that child and peruse the aisles, and it teaches them that they can’t have anything they want (I just explain that that is too expensive). I make it like a game and find 2-3 items for them to pick from. I’ve often gotten workbooks, bubbles, art supplies, that sort of thing, and this summer we even found a sprinkler on sale! Also, if you ask at check-out, the birthday child gets a crown and balloon as well!
Looks like your mailbox was pretty full this week. I also received a Kotex sample. My Betty Crocker sample was a warm delights single serving of chocolate cake that my teenage daughter already enjoyed. Thanks for sharing the best free sample offers:)
