Saturday kicks off the National Child Passenger Safety Week and there will be extra child inspection locations you can visit Saturday. Thanks goes to Savvy Mom Finds for the reminder! I want everyone to get their car or booster seat checked. I’ve gone several times to have mine checked, and learned a new important safety feature each time.
Make this drum at the free Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic this Saturday between 10 and 11 am. You do need to register, but it’s a great free activity to attend.
Toys ‘R Us is hosting a free Thomas Playdate from 11am to 1pm. I’ve actually taken my kids to one of these before, and they enjoyed it. They have storytime and coloring activities.
Kids can make a free craft at Lakeshore Learning stores between 11 and 3. This Saturday it’s these cute Pencil Holder Pals. Find a store near you here.
This is the last Saturday that Lands End Shops inside Sears are giving away the free Pack Pals (no purchase required).
Dog owners can get a free Cesar Bistro entree. They are giving away 1,500 free product coupons every Saturday between 9 am and midnight ET. And you can “win” up to two coupons so don’t forget to come back next Saturday!
Of course there are lots of other free activities going on – so please share with us what “FreebiEvents” you are attending this Saturday?
My family did the lowes build a drum. It was fun for the kids. The 26th is part of october safety month and they are building firetrucks. My lowes is supposed to have a real firetruck and ambulance if the weather is nice. Can't wait.
Posted this with a link this morning! =)Thanks Heather!
I am sooo excited about the Thomas play date tomorrow!!! I didn't even know those existed…my little man is going to be excited to listen to stories about "Ta" :-)
Thanks for the mention, Heather! I'm overly concerned about my kids safety where car seats are concerned. My son is almost 6 and he still uses a 5-point harness seat because I don't feel he's big enough for a regular booster. He's probably the only one in Kindergarten carpool who has to have his mother unbuckle him, but I'd rather be safe. These free inspections are great, especially considering the statistic that 3 out of 4 are installed incorrectly.
