At the McDonalds that are franchises, there really is no $1 off button on the register, Ruby. I work there and I do think it’s stupid, too, believe me, but it’s not their fault.
If you know which one is freestanding, they accept them, just not the ones owned separately.
The McDonald’s in my town wouldn’t accept the coupon either. Said “there was NO KEY on their
register for the coupon!” Can you believe that?
