Update: It sounds like this coupon code is not working for everyone. I did not get an email from Shutterfly about this deal, but when I tried the coupon code it worked for me. I hope it works for some of my readers, and am sorry it’s not one that will work for everyone.

Here’s how to load that coupon code into your account:
1. Log in to Shutterfly and click on “My Account” at the very top right. Or sign-up for a new account and get 50 free prints.
2. Look at the bottom of the page for the “Enter Special Offer Code” to load the coupon code READYMADEBOOK into your account.
3. You can then see it when you click on “My Special Offers” and it will ask you anytime you checkout if you’d like to apply it to your order. The expiration date is Tuesday, January 26.
4. Just pay shipping when you order your 7×9 soft cover 20-page photo book. When you use your coupon it does not apply towards shipping which should cost only $4.99.
5. Use before this offer expires on Tuesday, January 26.

My husband and I both have shutterfly accounts, and I have tried in the past to apply a coupon to one account that had been emailed to the other, and sometimes it doesn't work. When I asked shutterfly about it, they said their promotional codes that get emailed are only for select accounts, so if you don't get the email, it's not valid for you. I'm not sure if this particular deal was one of those promotions or not, though.

Also – anyone take advantage of the $5 magazine subscriptions just before Christmas through magazines.com? I ordered Real Simple for $5 and just received a postcard that due to overhwelming response they aren't going to start the subscription until the JULY issue. what a crock.
