Would you believe that I got everything in the above photo FREE from Walmart? And my coupon overage covered buying the All You magazine. And the All You magazine contained an envelope with a survey to fill out and get $10, so that will cover the other deals I also snuck into the photo. So now I’m making money on my freebies from Walmart? I’ll take it!

On this trip I had $1.76 “overage” that the cashier allowed so that paid for my $1.77 All You magazine with the survey in it that will give me $10 back. Only a few of the issues have this $10 survey envelope, if you pick up a magazine with an envelope it will be heavier and stiffer with the envelope stuck to page 3. Since I’m going to get that $10, I decided I could include a few more items in my photo. Here is what I bought, the “new” items for this week are near the top of the list. Many are old favorites that I still keep coming up with coupons for. Look around and you’ll find several different types of Kotex packages priced at $1.
This is what I “bought” for free this week:
Johnson’s SoftLotion 2 oz. ($0.97, free with this $1 printable coupon and this tip, also Traci said she was able to print 2 more coupons after entering the Johnson’s sweeps again – I tried to print more coupons but was unable to, worth a try!)
Kraft LiveActive Cereal ($2.84 and I used my $3 printable coupon)
Items I “bought” using some of the $10 I’ll get for the All You Survey:

My Wal-Mart Great deals-one box of Live Active, two boxes HBofO, 5 Buddies soaps,1 kotex, 2 Gillette Shaving Gel, 1 J&J; lotion, 6 Old Spice body wash, 2 lbs of strawberrys, 3.32 lb red potatoes, 2 bags lays crackers, 2 bags Lays Kettle chips, 2 2oz Purell sanitizers, 3 Cleanteam 42ct wipes. With Add Matching my Subtotal was 35.15 After coupons my total with tax was 6.66. Not to bad.And After Wal-Mart I went to Frys and did the Cover Girl makeup deal.
I guess I just assumed that all Walmarts carry it – but maybe they are sold out of the May 30 issue and will get the new issue soon? Maybe check your Walmart next week – it should be at the cash registers right by all the other magazines.
Ok…where can I find this magic All You magazine? I searched all over my WalMart for it!! Couldn’t find it anywhere :(
Traci – what a bummer that the sale prices are not showing up at your store! A few notes about using coupons – most cashiers do not receive proper training and do not know how to handle coupons. If they tell you that they will not take your coupons, then politely ask to speak to the store manager. I’ve done this several times and alwyas found the store manager was happy to take my coupons. Never let the store employees make you feel like you are doing something wrong by using coupons – most of the time they just don’t want to deal with them. Remember that the store gets reimbursed for the coupons they collect from the manufacturers that issue the coupons. Anything else you have questions on – just ask!
I had a less than great trip to Walmart today! A lot of the reported sale prices were not on sale out here in the country….Boo Hoo! & the coupon takers were not exactly friendly with my internet coupons either. Heather, I am new to couponing. I have to ask…is this normal? Have you had these problems too??
Thanks for the reminder Gina – I already did the Adidas deal at CVS, but just realized that since I bought another copy of All You I have a another free deodorant coupon I can use at Walmart on my next visit.Mason – sorry you had a hard time with your coupons at Walmart. Walmart does accept printable coupons, and you did the right thing by asking to talk to a store manager. Don’t let it get you down – you can go back to the same store, get a different cashier, and have a totally different experience!
I had the hardest time using my internet coupons for the Live Active cereal today at Walmart. They didn’t want to accept them initially because they were printed from the internet. I managed to get past that, and then they gave me a hard time saying it couldn’t be done because the cereal was listed less than the coupon itself. I have a feeling I had a new cashier-in-training. After finally speaking to the manager, I got my two boxes for free!
Don’t forget to use the coupon for Adidas Deodorant in that issue of All You. It’s for a free deodorant ($4.99 value), and that’s one of CVS’s May monthly ECB deals. When you buy the deodorant at CVS, paying zero because of the coupon, you’ll earn a printout of $4.99 ECBs to spend on whatever you want!
