*Expired* Walmart Freebies: Coupon Help

by Freebies4Mom on December 3, 2008 6:48 am

I know that many Walmart stores have started making it difficult for their customers to use printable coupons. This is unfortunate, since Walmart’s corporate coupon policy still states that they do accept them. What can you do? Be an empowered consumer tells you how to handle coupon rejection and what to do when your legitimate coupons are rejected. If you are printing coupons from, this is a perfectly legitimate source of manufacturer’s coupons. But of course there are fraudulent printable coupons out there, and I want you to know how to spot a fraudulent coupon so that you can avoid ever printing one or trying to use one.

If you’re looking for Walmart shopping deals, check out these frugal blogs:

They will help you match up those coupons you have with great prices! Just remember that each Walmart store carries a slightly different selection of products and that the prices also vary slightly by region. Be sure you understand and print a copy of Walmart’s Coupon Policy and Walmart’s Price Matching Policy. If you have any problems using coupons at your Walmart or with missing or damaged samples you receive from Walmart, please follow-up with the store manager and corporate by calling 1-800-WAL-MART.

Has anyone else not received the free samples they requested? I discovered Walmart’s free sample in early October, I requested each sample availble at that time and any new ones that become available. I have only received 1 out of all that I requested, it is kind off strange.

I just had my first Walmart IP issue. The cashier didn’t really know what she was talking about, but I asked for a mananger. He insisted that corp said that they could not take coupons from Something about the company not paying Walmart for the coupons?? I’ve got to contact corp. about it, but haven’t had the time. I had my policy, but it didn’t matter since it was those particular coupons, not all IPs. (I was using the Lucky Leaf ones, but they said it was the coupon company, not the product company, that caused the problem.)

Thanks for your encouragement about Walmart and coupons. I’ve almost put the 1-800 number for Walmart on speed dial. Maybe one of these days, they’ll get it straight, but I’m not giving up unless corporate changes their coupon policy.

I've had issues with this twice. The first time, althought I stayed polite, I walked out on $100 of groceries that had already been checked & bagged. I immediately came home, printed the policy, and called a manager. He called me back in less than an hour with an apology and confirmation that I was correct. Less than two weeks later, the same cashier tried to not take my coupons again, and I insisted that she call a manager, not just a CSM, and also gave her a copy of the corporate poicy.

I have had to use my printed policy more than once, then each time I come home and do a write up to walmart, and the next day the manager of the walmart has called and apologized.
