Sign-up with Ebates and you can get $10 cash back on almost any $10 online purchase. This bonus offer expires on Wednesday, December 31 – so don’t forget to make your first purchase to get $10 cash back before then! I wrote more about Ebates here.
It’s bargain-hunting time. I do most of my bargain-hunting online now because it saves me time and money. I’m buying things ahead for birthdays and holidays to get more bang for my buck. When I shop online, I’m timing my purchases to get deeply discounted items and then saving even more on them by combining coupon codes with cash-back. I use RetailMeNot.com for finding coupon codes. I use Ebates and Cashbaq to earn cash rebates on most of my online purchases. How are you saving money on your online purchases?
I file all offers that require a purchase under rebates.

iMommy – Yes, I’m aware that that there is a problem with people getting $5 instead of $10. I’ve emailed Ebates and am waiting for a response. The promotion is supposed to be valid thru today, and it’s still being advertised as a $10 promo. Sorry about the confusion, I’ll hopefully be able to pass along some useful information after I hear from Ebates.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom
Hmm, I just signed up this morning, and only see $5 promo pending. You might need to update this post, looks like it’s already expired :)
Thanks for this great tip. I ordered from diapers.com too and I got 384 wipes, a big tub of triple paste and a clearance toy all for $29!! I’m passing this along to my friends. Thanks.
Dani – If you made a purchase of at least $10 from any store that you got to by clicking on the store name from Ebates, then your $10 pending should be paid to you at the next payout on February 15. Look at your account, you should see an “Approved” status next to that $10. That $10 will stay in the “Cash Pending” category until they issue you a check that will be mailed or Paypaled to you by February 15. After you are paid that money, then that $10 will move from the “Cash Pending” category to the “Cash Paid” category. I hope that answers your question!-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom
Heather -I signed up for ebates, made a purchase, and see the $10 promo as pending – when does that go into the account? Or do I need to shop at specific stores/spend a certain amount?
Response to Comment #5 – You should see the $10 in your Cashbaq account as “pending”. I just found out that there is a 3-month wait for the $10 rebate due to the time allowed to accommodate returns (i.e. Entertainment Book doesn’t want to be giving $10 back and then let you return the book for a refund). I’ve updated my Cashbaq post based on what I’ve learned. That means I’ll get my $10 back in March. A longer wait than I was expecting, but makes sense for them to wait until the books can no longer be returned for a full refund.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom
Have you gotten the $10 rebate from Cashbaq yet for the Entertainment Book? I’m kind of freaking out because it’s been almost two weeks now, and they haven’t responded to my email about it.
The McFarlane Family – Ebates official response to that question is that it will usually take 48 hours for you to see that cash back credit showing up in your account, but it can take up to 30 days. For all my purchases, I’m seeing my cash back in my account by the next day. Just as a reminder, Ebates mails checks every quarter. Everyone should be getting their “big fat check” sent by February 15.-HeatherFreebies4Mom.com
How long does it take for the rebate to post to your ebates account usually?
I just signed up with eabtes getting me $10 back when I subscribed to 2 magazines through magazines.com that gave me 26% cash back along with $5 off each magazine I ordered!! So if I did my math right I bought 2 magazine subscriptions for $2.00 (once I get my rebate!!) Not Bad!!!
Thank for the tip. I just went to diaper. com and got a great deal on diapers and wipes. Free shipping, a $10 off coupon code on retailme not and will get the $10 from ebates. I ended up with 207 diapers and about 700 wipes for $30Pam
