Download 12 “After Dark – Tales to Read Under the Covers” Classics from Barnes & Noble for FREE thru Monday, September 6. And remember you can get over 100 free eBooks for the free Barnes & Noble eBook reader for your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Blackberry, PC, MAC or Nook. They don’t come even close to the over 180,000 free eBooks as Amazon Kindle, but I wanted to share it as another resource for free eBooks. Please note that if you have never registered at Barnes & Noble you will need to set-up a new account which means they will ask you for your credit card information – even if you are only downloading the free eBooks.

I am going to get out and say it. As much as i like freebie stuff, I would never take one free book from B&N. When you go to their page, you are still required to input your credit card number, which they tell you, it will be kept on file “for future purchases”.
With the amount of misfires corporations like this one had in the past several years, I refuse to leave my credit card information on file with anyone. Besides, when you go to Amazon and get a free book, the only requirement is that you have an account with them, they do not require you to leave payment information on file. If Amazon can do it, so can B&N.
Thanks for the freebie, but I have to pass on this one, until B&N realizes that they have opened themselves and us up to a security risk. Look at the companies that experienced these security failures, they swore up and down that they would never fall victims of such a thing.
Take this freebie at your own risk.
