GREAT giveaway!! Here’s what I’d spend the gift card on (as I posted on my entry):

My daughter’s 16th birthday is in August and I would buy a lot of her birthday gift at Borders! We spend time there each weekend browsing, sipping a favorite coffee or frozen drink (and an awesome baked good), and picking up our book of the week! We LOVE Borders!! It’s our favorite mom & daughter hang out spot!!

I love that Borders gives me another opportunity to remain close to my teen!! <3

Nora July 28, 2010 at 11:25 am

I would spend a $100 Borders gift card on medical books for my daughter who is starting high school in the fall. After a battle with cancer she has decided to enter the medical field and is looking forward to making a career as a Pediatric Surgeon. She was cleared of cancer thanks to a wonderful pediatric surgeon and his team!

This is a great giveaway and since we were pretty busy with kids sports all summer long, I would love to win this and I would split the $100 four ways. $25 for each of my three daughters to find a book or two to get them back into the swing of things with school starting soon. Then the last $25 would be for me to buy a couple of the beach read books I wanted but didn’t have time for this summer.

April Doughtry July 26, 2010 at 8:34 pm

I teach 4th grade so I would spend my $100 on some great novels for my kids to read. As we all know, teachers don’t make a lot of money and we always end up spending our own money to get our classrooms stocked full of books. $100 would really help me out a lot! I love reading and really try hard to share my love of reading with my kids. There are so many great books out there that kids aren’t exposed to. Thanks so much!

Sabrina July 26, 2010 at 7:06 pm

If I win the Gift card I will purchase something for two of my friends for Christmas and replace some books that were required to be discarded due to my previous apartment being contaminated by meth.
I reeeeally could use this to buy for my two guy friends for Christmas! I’m at a loss as what to get them that I can afford!

Dana July 26, 2010 at 5:19 pm

Not sure if i already signed up for this or not, but I would buy some educational fun books for my girls, Some just for fun books for them also. And I would throw something in for me and hubby and if possible buy a Book to donate to my childrens school library.
Thanks for the opportunity.

I would spend it on my kids. They love to read!

Katie July 24, 2010 at 4:18 pm

I love to read and my little girl loves for me to read to her. She is only 20 months and I have been reading to her since she was in my belly. She loves to sit in my lap and just listen to me read. She even picks them up and “reads” (baby talk) to me! 🙂 I feel like it is very important because it’s quality time we share together and it is preparing her for alot in the future. She gets smarter and smarter every book 🙂

Jo July 24, 2010 at 2:41 pm

I’ll buy a book for school–one law school casebook usually costs about $98, so any little bit will help! So that’s what I’ll probably buy for the coming semester.

christie f July 24, 2010 at 11:28 am

Romance for me and the rest for my nephews.

Jane Stilwell July 24, 2010 at 11:10 am

Chelle July 22, 2010 at 2:12 pm

I’d give it to my sister in law who always passes her books onto me to read. My way of saying thanks. 🙂

Sheila July 22, 2010 at 12:32 am

Kim July 21, 2010 at 11:37 pm

The Summer Reading Challenge is AWESOME! I read way more than 10 books to my 10 month old daughter and turned in the form … we got the Ramona book for when she’s older. I loved those books as a kid, and I am so looking forward to sharing that love with her. Thanks for sharing the information about the Double Dog Dare.

Carole S July 21, 2010 at 9:08 pm

I would let my 2 grandchildren each pick out a few books they want to read. IF there is any of the $100 left after that, then I would buy myself a book – I have been wanting to read Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter 🙂
