It’s a free sample of granola that I just got in my mailbox today. Bear Naked granola is a new all natural granola product with a catchy name. I received a 1.35 oz. sample of the fruit and nut variety along with a coupon to Save $1 on any 12 oz. granola product (expires 3/1/09). My guess is that you would find this product in the natural foods section of your grocery store (enter your zipcode here – my local Kroger, HEB and Randalls all carry it). Watch for a sale, the stores love to promote new products with sales.

Response to Comment #8 – You should definitely never give your phone number out unless you are comfortable doing so. You can always enter something completely bogus if you are required to complete that field or you can set-up a free phone number on the internet that is “voicemail only” – always free as long as you don’t use it to make calls out. I also encourage you to read a company’s privacy policy before submitting any personal information at all. I personally believe that most companies adhere to their privacy policy and personally I have not had problems with receiving tons of spam (by email, junk mail, or phone call).-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom
I tried this, signing up for the free newsletter, but they required me to give my phone number. My number is unpublished and unlisted, there is a reason for this. I do not wish to give my number to some company for them to harass me with sales calls. Guess they won’t have as many customers as other companies.
I’m excited to get this sample in the mail. Thanks!
Hilary – I want you to follow-up with Bear Naked and tell them the condition that you received their sample in. Most companies do provide customer service for the free samples they mail out – even if it is the post office’s fault that your sample was damaged or missing. The best way to contact a company to provide feedback on a product or free sample is by calling them. You can call Bear Naked at their toll-free number 1-866-374-4442.If you follow-up with them please keep me in the loop!-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom
Hi Heather, I received a torn up box as a sample with no granola inside and/or coupon. :( Bummer. Stinking post office.
Anonymous – Yes, that is right that you should NEVER copy coupons. I have more information in my “Fraudulent Coupons Hurt Everyone” post (look in my right sidebar under “Coupons 4 Mom”).-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

My Kroger (Dallas) was actually sampling this product in-store last week, AND handing out $1 off coupons. Did you know they have a CHOCOLATE granola flavor? I think chocolate makes granola palatable, how ’bout you?
