A fabulous new rebate for Kellogg’s Smart Start Cereal is available. The bargain-savvy Fatima, creator of The Shopping Queen, just alerted me to it!
You’ll find a $1 coupon for this cereal in the latest issue of All You(orange cover) on page 12. Can you use a coupon on a mail-in rebate item? In this case, you bet! Manufacturer’s who issue rebates are fully aware of what coupons they have also issued for that product. But they expect few consumers to match-up the coupon plus the rebate together, and allow those who do some extra savings. Other rebates will automatically subtract the value of the coupon form the rebate amount (whether you used the coupon or not). So go ahead, use that $1 coupon and get your full mail-in rebate!
Eunice – You rock! Thanks so much for clarifying for all of us!
It’s appears to be one refund for each cereal even though it’s the same address.~eunicehttp://www2.kelloggs.com/ContactUs.aspxQuestion:”I am confused by the Kellogg’s® Frosted Mini-Wheats® Blueberry Muffin cereal and Kellogg’s® Smart Start® Strawberry Oat Bites cereal Mail-In rebate offer. The rebate offer is on each cereal, but the order form lists both cereals and states one rebate per order form per household. Why can’t I get a rebate for both cereals?Answer:We apologize for the confusion with this rebate offer and the fact that our order form is not clear. You can actually receive a rebate on both cereals. The offer is good for one rebate per cereal per household. Please see our Promotions page on http://www.kelloggs.com for more information about this rebate offer.”
Megan – I think these are two separate forms, so you can do both! Limit of one per household should only apply to one form, not one offer from Kellogg’s. You can also check the mailing address, would usually be different if they are indeed separate offers. Or maybe I misunderstood your question – I’ll let my readers try to help out if they have the rebate form you are talking about.
I tried out the theory of “earning money” with a rebate, and it works! I mailed in a rebate for the Scubbie Bubbles Action Scrubber Starter Kit after having bought it with a $1 coupon that doubled, and I got the whole amount back in a check for $5.29. I earned $2, and it felt fantastic!Megan, I assume that you can only try one cereal, but it does seem silly if that is the case.
Has anyone done this rebate for the Blueberry Muffin Mini Wheats and the Smart Start Cereal? It says limit one offer per household but I was wondering if that was one offer per cereal or one offer total. Seems silly to advertise two new cereals but make you choose which one to try.
Thank you so much! I can’t get enough of cereal at my house.
