The biggest freebie surprise this week came in my Sunday paper that I picked up at Kroger. See that dark brown flyer with punch-out coupon? It’s for a free iced coffee at Starbucks – valid in Texas so I guess these are showing up in the Sunday paper across the state. Those in Atlanta had a slightly different coupon in their Sunday paper (and slightly better) that The Affluent Pauper shares here.
Walgreens came through for me in a big way. The $48.36 rebate that I thought was lost, is now back in my wallet. And I will never give a cashier my gift card again, I’ll swipe it myself and press the “Gift Card” button.
Do you shop at HEB? I got my HEB Goodness magazine, several recipes inside. Also, Tatiana and Katherine told me about this deal: “Purchase 5 products from these participating brands (Pantene, Herbal Essence, Olay, Cover Girl, Duracell, Crest, Venus, Tampax, Always) and get one Schlitterbuck. Once you collect 3 Sclitterbucks, you’ll recieve (2) FREE Tickets Schlitterbahn ($80 Value). Excludes trial sizes. Offer good from 6-25 through 7-1.” Please see your HEB store for more details.
I got my first All You issue (August 1) and shared a few of my favorite coupons from it with you here. It wasn’t free (I paid $12) but considering all of the coupons I’ll get from it and that they just mailed me a $10 check for completing a survey, it’s almost free to me. My readers say you might want to look into these sources of low cost subscriptions: QSP and USSMAG. Please note that I have not used either of these subscription services, so I encourage you to do your own research before deciding to buy a subscription from them.
Other freebies I received:
Planet Heroes DVD “Here Comes the Sun” 16 minute episode (still available)
$10 off next $10 purchase @ DSW – just sign-up for DSW Rewards
Special K Buy 1 Get 1 Free Coupon – from Vocalpoint, read more here and if you complete surveys and reviews you will be more likely to get free stuff in your mailbox
Country Home magazine – free subscription from ValueMags (no longer available)
Nivea Natural Tone creme – Walmart sample (no longer available)
What some of my readers are getting in their mailboxes:
“After receiving the Emergen-C sample {click on Share the Good} a few months ago, they contacted me and wanted me to take a survey for them. Well I did, and even though it’s been a little while since I did it, I got their “thank you” in the mail today, which came in a huge envelope. It was a folder type thing with two coupons on it and 14 packets of Emergen-C in it!!! Every packet was a different flavor or for a different purpose. I was pretty much dancing after I opened it, and so I thought you might like to know about how rewarding it is to do their surveys if they ask you.” –Renee
“I received the April Showers gift pack from Clean Home Journal. I was really excited! It had a 3 pack of Ziploc Twist n Lock Containers, a Glade Plug In and 1 refill, and TONS of coupons. I also received a sample of Seattle’s Best Coffee and the Walmart sample of the Vaseline Men’s Lotion–a 2 oz. tube! Yesterday was a great day for freebies! Thanks for all your hard work and letting me know about all these great deals!!!!” –Ami
What did you get in your mailbox/inbox/doorstep/newspaper this week?
I love the All You magazine. I snagged several coupons from it.
I also got the Planet Heroes DVD, and I won a pair of Hanes underwear in the Wedgie Free contest:)
hmmm, no Free starbucks for me! I’m in the DFW area, and the Star Telegram didn’t have that coupon. I did however receive a sheet of coupons for Brawny Xtra soft and Charmin-it’s all in spanish! LOL~
Aw man! I was SO excited about the free Starbucks coupon. We live in Austin and I headed out to pick up my newspaper (from the driveway) and I just combed through it and we didn’t get one of the brown cardboard inserts! Bummer! I wonder if this promotion is only in certain areas of Texas?!?
