*Expired* My Favorite Gift: Scotch Laminator $19.99 (75% off), 50-ct. Refills $9.99 (29% off)

by Freebies4Mom on December 17, 2010 6:45 am

The price has gone up, I knew this deal wouldn’t last forever! The Scotch Thermal Laminator for only $19.99 with free shipping at Amazon (that’s 75% off the original price of $80.49) is my favorite gift this year because you can create educational and crafty do-it-yourself projects with it. I was happy to see affordable refills at 20 cents per pouch. My friend has this laminator and alerted me to this hot deal. She’s very happy with her Scotch Laminator and it has received great reviews by others. You can laminate items that are up to 9 inches wide – there are lots of uses including magnets, bookmarks, id cards, flash cards, placemats, books, preserve artwork, protect frequently used documents.

I hope you signed-up for Amazon Mom (you can still sign-up) because you get free Prime Membership which means free 2-day shipping (they extended the free shipping offer so everyone gets free shipping in December too). You can extend your free Prime Membership just by making a qualifying $25+ purchase in the “Amazon Baby Store“.  I was surprised to find out that many toys (like the Leapster) qualify as a purchase from the “Amazon Baby Store”.

You’ll also need to order refills and I recommend the Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches (9 inches wide) for $9.99 (save 29%) for a 50 count.  That makes the pouches cost about 20 cents each. It makes sense to order the widest (and cheapest) refill the machine can use because if you are laminating something small you just line them up horizontally (with a small gap between objects).  Please share what type of projects you’ll be using this laminator for!

I ordered this laminator this week but haven’t had a chance to use it, yet. I’ve thought many times that I’d like to have one but since I was sure how much I’d actually use it I didn’t want to spend the money. This is an awesome price. I got it and the pack of 50 9″ pouches, used $10 in Amazon gift cards that I’d received through Swagbucks and paid less than $17 out of pocket. So excited!

I ordered this 2 days ago and it arrived the next day. I haven’t tried it yet, but since we homeschool and my son is Autisitc and we laminate new routines a lot this is going to help so much!

Found some super cheap pouches for this laminator at:
http://www.dickblick.com/products/3m-thermal-laminator/

Today 12/17, they are offering free shipping on orders of $19+! Great place to get some of the smaller sizes (i.e. a 20 pack of 3M 3.5×5 pouches is $1.59…) (The 50 count 9 inch wide refills are still cheaper on Amazon… but the smaller sizes are much cheaper here!)

I just ordered mine. I am very excited about it. I have wanted something like this for a long time but never wanted to pay what they all wanted for it. I can’t wait. First thing I will be laminating is my family cookbook.

I just received my laminator yesterday and I absolutely love it! I haven’t used it yet but it looks very simple to use and it is very small which means I can take it with me! It will come in so handy to use in my own classroom when I graduate in May with a degree in Early Childhood Education!
