Enjoy the convenience of Walmart Grocery Pickup to save time and avoid even walking into the store. I wanted to break it down into a few easy steps for those of you who are brand new to using Walmart Grocery Pickup. The reason I’m a big fan of Walmart Grocery Pickup is because this service is free for all orders over $30 (no membership required).

Step 1 – Create a Walmart account, or sign in to your existing account. It’s easy to do by entering your name, email address and password. You will immediately receive a coupon code to use on the next screen (it will also be emailed to you to use later).

Step 2 – Get a $10 off $50 coupon for your first Walmart Grocery Pickup order (this is my referral link). You’ll get your coupon code immediately, but you don’t have to use it right away because Walmart will also email it to you.

Step 3 – Start shopping at your local Walmart and you’ll see only the products that your store carries. Remember that this pickup service is not just for groceries, you can buy almost anything that is inside your store.

Step 4 – Get the Walmart Grocery app on iTunes or the Walmart Grocery app on Google Play so that you can shop from your phone, get alerts about your order and tell your store when you arrive and which parking spot you are in.

Step 5 – Add items to your cart and schedule a pick-up time. You can add items to your cart online or in the app. You’ll be able to schedule a pick-up time during a 1 hour period of your choosing, and you can even schedule your pick-up for tomorrow or a day later in the week.

  • Pickup early in the day. The best time to pick-up your order is earlier in the day (before the store gets really busy) because later in the day there can be delays (which Walmart will communicate to you if it affects your order). Remember that you don’t have to place your order on the same day you pick it up. I like to place my order one day before I pick it up so I can choose a morning time slot that is convenient for me and coincides with other errands I am running.
  • Pickup during the week. The best days of the week to pickup your order are during the week (so not on the weekend). Although of course it doesn’t really matter since you aren’t walking into the store, but it’s more challenging to get the pick-up time slot you want on the weekend because there is a higher demand for this service then.

I hope this step-by-step guide to using Walmart Grocery Pickup for the first time was useful! If you have any questions or tips, please leave a comment!
