I continue to be impressed by Catalog Choice, a free service to easily stop the catalogs from appearing in your mailbox. I now have 36 catalog opt-out requests on my list, and most of them I am no longer getting. The great thing about Catalog Choice is that if you continue to receive a catalog after “opting-out” you can report that you are still receiving it and they do the follow-up for you. It’s a great way to save time by letting them contact the companies, and a great way to reduce the number of catalogs you get in your mailbox.
If you are using Catalog Choice, leave a comment and tell us what you think about it? If you are using a different free service, let us know about it! What other things are you doing to reduce the amount of junk mail you get?
I’ve saved up my catalogs before and ended up entering TWENTY NINE catalogs in!!! I just couldn’t believe that there were so many coming and it seemed that the total had increased with each child we had.I DON’T believe that the postal system needs to waste their time and gas (again – environment) sending so many unnecessary catalogs, especially when SO many people don’t recycle. What a waste! My postlady would LOVE to get rid of the catalogs if she could.Anyway, I’ve received a LOT fewer catalogs since opting into this service and feel satisfied that I have a way to get out of junk mail that I didn’t ask for! :-)
This is not a good idea to Use The postal service needs the revenue in order to be able to send you your freebies and free samples. Yes its junk and you toss it but it can be thrown in the recycle bin and at the end it helps the postal service. Also many of those catalogs have coupons that fall out when u shake them. I got like 4 free chicken and biscuit coupon for Mcdonalds in some fingerhut ctalogs and am really enjoying them.Anyway this is my opinionLove your chat-a dedicated reader
Since I signed up with Catalog Choice, my unwanted catalogs are way down in numbers. This is a great service and so easy to use. I have 24 on my list so far.
