You need these two coupons in order to buy a Bounce Dryer Bar (lasts 2 months) at Target for free. I don’t usually post store deals, but I know that lots of my readers have these two coupons – and I wanted to use this as an example of coupon stacking for those who are new to the concept:
My TARGET Deal:
Buy the Bounce Dryer Bar (lasts 2 months) = $3.79
Use Target Coupon for $1.50 off
(found in Aug. 23 Red Plum Sunday Paper Ad Insert)
– stacked with –
Use Manufacturer’s Coupon for $2.50 off
(mailed out by Vocalpoint along with $1.50 coupons to share)
Total Price = $0.00
The value of coupons actually exceeds the price, so you can ask the cashier to adjust the coupon price so you get it for free if the coupons beep).
So – that’s how you stack coupons to get things for free! I also received a Bounce Dryer bar (and so did many of my readers here) in a separate mailing. I’m guessing that more people received the coupons than did the sample – so now you know how to maximize that $2.50 off!

For those of you having problems with your target wanting to adjust the price you should definitely call the customer service. My coupon buddy/friend and I were having a lot of problems with a local target and called customer service. They emailed us the coupon policy which explicitly states that the coupons should be adjusted. They still argued we called again once we got home and were told next time to call from the lane. When we tried again with policy in hand the began to dispute and we said we would just call customer service from the lane. They suddenly decided that the policy was ok and they would adjust. They really didn't want to hold up the lane for 30 minutes or more waiting for customer service.
No, towels are not hard or scratchy without fabric softener. I use vinegar in the wash instead. Ah well, our Target had the 2 month bars for $4.50. I'm sure someone I know will want one of these for $.50.
I've always used fabric softener with my towels. Wouldn't they be hard and scratch if you didn't? LOL I'm just drying off my body, not soaking up a puddle. Well…unless our daughter has gone crazy in the tub. ;)
Those of you who got these, how do you handle towels? You're not supposed to use fabric softener with towels, as it makes them less absorbent.
Hi Heather- Nope, it was definitely the 2 month bars because I used coupons and purchased two. The 4 month bars were $7.49, but on sale for $6.99. In hindsight, guess I should have bought those for the better bargain. I wasn't sure how well they would work after 2-3 months though. Thanks!
Hilary – Are you sure you were looking at the packages with a "2" on it, and not a "4"? My store was almost out of the 2-month ones, and so I thought maybe your store only has the 4-month ones which explains the higher price.
Thanks very much for answering. I am jealous of your $3.79 price on those! I went to both of our Targets last evening and the Bounce Bars were priced at $4.49 each at both stores. I'm always amazed how different stores can be depending on the area.
SquishyCuteStuff – My dryer bar isn't lasting as long as I thought it would. But I know I'm a heavy dryer user (I don't iron, I just reheat my clothes) – ok I confess!Hilary – Vocalpoint mailed out coupons separate from the free dryer bar. Some got it, some didn't – I don't know how they determine who gets it but I always encourage my readers to participating in their polls and leave comments because that may help. The coupons vary slightly by region within the inserts – so it's possible you didn't get it in your area (sorry to hear that!).Courtney – Call corporate Target just like Jamie said. You've got to stand-up for yourself and Target stores should have a consistent coupon acceptance policy from store to store.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom
courtney,i had the same problem with my store and i called the 1-800 customer service number. They told me that yes they do (should) accept coupons for more than the amount. The cashier should adjust the coupon, but if they fail to that Target is not losing any $$. He told me that many people do not realize they make money off coupons:) anyway, I received an apology and 2-$3target coupons in the mail about a week later. The next time I was in, again the cashier told me they couldn't accept the coupons and I let her know that I had called c.s. and the gentleman said they could. She put the coupon through with no problem. I haven't had a problem since-I didn't call to complain, I called to ask if they would accept the coupons (after they were denied)
My Target will not allow the price to go over and will not adjust. Crazy huh?
OK, was the Target coupon regional in the Red Plum? I am sitting here with mine, and my Mom's, and neither have the Target coupon in them. We're in the Harrisburg and York, PA area. I have $1.00 regular coupons, but no Target coupons. How odd.
I got my coupons seperately
OK, I didn't get any coupons with my Bounce Bar. Not that I am complaining because the Bounce Bar was free and we love it. I am just curious if everyone got coupons with their bar? I cannot wait to get another one!
I didn't receive the bar, but I did get the great coupons. The price is pretty good for 2 months worth of fabric-softening…how are you all that are using it liking it so far? Is it lasting as long as it claims?
