I wanted to use Legos we already owned to inspire my kids to create something new. Here’s how I created a Lego Kit and how you can make one too! If you like this project, then you’ll love my Lego Projects Pinterest board.
Step 1 – Use Clear Containers with a flat lid and flat bottom. I used a Sunsweet Ones container because we love snacking on them. There are always Sunsweet Ones printable coupons at the Sunsweet website. To take the Sunsweet Ones plastic label off just cut a small slit in one end with scissors and then can peel it off without ruining the container.
Step 2 – Hot Glue Legos to Lid & Bottom if you’d like to provide a small building platform with your Lego Kit. Just remember to line-up those circles if you’re gluing several pieces together to make one platform.
Step 3 – Fill With Legos by Color just to make it fun to look at. Of course the first thing kids will do is mix them all up.
Step 4 – Inspires Creativity just by using what you already have and presenting it to your kids in a new way. How are you making your Legos “new” to your kids?
Happy building and please give me your feedback on my project. If you’re on Pinterest, then I’d love your support when you Pin It.
quick question – how did you get the label off? i can’t seem to figure out the best way – looks like it will ruin the container itself…thanks for the help! love this idea!
