Melissa & Doug Art Easel Giveaway

by Freebies4Mom on December 12, 2009 8:12 am

I love Melissa & Doug toys! So of course I said “Yes!” when they asked me to write a product review and host a giveaway. They make a wide variety of educational toys for kids of all ages. And they designed a great space-saving easel that your kids will love to create art on! One of my lucky readers will win the Wooden Tabletop Easel and the Easel Accessory Set (approximate retail value $75 for this prize).

Review: Tabletop Easel
I was so excited to set this up for my kids, because we don’t have an easel. This tabletop easel is the perfect solution for having a easel when you don’t have the floor space for it! My 4-year old actually helped me assemble the easel and had so much fun with the large green wooden screws. I was impressed that the assembly of the easel was actually designed so that kids can help by using kid-sized screws. This easel has a chalk board side and a dry erase board side. Plus both are magnetic so it really is a multi-purpose art easel. Both sides have their own tray to hold art supplies. We were impressed with the smart design of this easel and now every day my son asks if he can paint on it.

This is a popular gift and the Melissa & Doug store is sold-out of them, but there are 2 new Tabletop Easels on Amazon for $38.29 with free super saver shipping.

Review: Easel Accessory Set
The perfect companion to the Tabletop Easel, this set gives you all the supplies your little artist needs! We love the paint containers because they minimize the possibility of spilling, fit right into the two cup holders, and have a cap so we can save leftover paint until our next painting session. And we love the color-coordinated paintbrushes. This set also includes paint, jumbo chalk, a dry-erase marker and eraser, plus a huge roll of paper (75 feet long)! It’s a great art supply set whether you have an easel or not!

The Easel Accessory Set is also sold on Amazon for $22.49 and includes free super saver shipping.

We have a stand-up Melissa and Doug easel that my son LOVES. He started using it at 18 months at the lowest setting (the height is adjustable). He loves to draw on the chalk side, as well as the paper and dry-erase side. It has handy clips to keep the paper in place, as well as good trays for crayons, chalk, paints, etc. We love this easel and it was a GREAT price on
