Valspar has a contest on Facebook to win two free gallons of paint when you tell them why your mom deserves a color makeover for her favorite room (in 300 words or less). Valspar will draw ten winners from the entries, and the winners will be the paint of their choice shipped to them for free (prize value of up to $75). This is a contest that I think it’s worth your time to enter. This contest started on April 26 and closes on Tuesday, May 3. Good luck and don’t forget to tell me if you win!

My mom deserves this because she is a wonderful grandmother! She is disabled and has limited funds. She has been trying to get her playroom painted for her 5 grandkids. She wants them to have the best playroom when they come to Gamma’s! What better use for paint could there be but to make a child’s playroom more colorful and fun?

My mom has been enslaved by the Khmer Rouge but her strong spirit helped her escape the ordeal. Crossed the jungles of Cambodia into Thailand on foot while pregnant with me. Hardly had anything to eat as you can imagine. Her father, 2 brothers and a few sisters were all murdered, burned, gutted etc. She was sponsored to America, the best country in the world, and learned to speak English. Became a citizen after 5 yrs. She works hard for her money, drives a BMW, a single mom and the best example of a survivor. I don’t want the paint. I just wanted to share my story.
My mom is disabled, but has tried very hard to get her back room put together as a playroom for her five grandbabies (ages 6, 5, 5, 3, and 3) when they come to visit her. She has very limited funds and new paint to make that room colorful for the babies would be amazing for her!
over the past twenty years my wife has played every role in the family .she worked 16hour shifts.and came home /cooked/cleaned and she also provided critical nursing care for my mother who was paralyzed with a stroke she bathed /cleaned /feed my mother and gave her medicine to her.and on top of this my wife would ‘ve to get my daughter ready for school/feed her/drop her off .i don’t know how my wife manage to do all of this .but she did it without complaining .i remeber during hurricane katrina i got a telephone call from my brother saying that as he /my cousin /his wife /2kidsand 2 dogs were trying to evacuate [new orleans]the car had broken down in jennings louisiana/they asked to stay with us /so i asked my wife it be ok /she said yes so we went / picked them up and let them stay with us /little did we know 2days later more family members came to our house seeking shelter at our 2 bed room house/being the person my wife is .she welcomed them with open arms my wife is a very special person to me /she has a heart of gold /she’s never won anything or asked for anything in her life so this would be a blessing if she was one of the winners in this contest.
I would love to win this for my mother… she really deserves it, and since moving with us 3 years ago, I have only now gotten her own ‘space’ … here’s to good luck for all.
This mom was pregnant with child #2 when we moved into our new home, so I couldnt paint. That was 7 years ago! lol With three kids, I never got the opportunity to clear out a room to paint it, so my poor house walls are still Contractor White! But sometimes it’s just GETTING the paint that motivates! ;)
We have painted almost every other room in the house but mine…I would love to have a room to call my own! We moved into our house three days after my daughter was born as she came early. I would love to finish all the work that I have dreamed of.
My mother has been my hero all my life. Like so many mothers, she has given her complete devotion to me and my sisters upbringing. She has recently started remodeling her house, one paycheck at a time. It has been a many year process due to funding. I would love to be able to give her something like this, she could really use and be so THRILLED to recieve. It’s one of the perfect giveaways.
I am a mother of 1 boy soon to be 2 boys come July I am trying to paint their rooms and money is def tight right now, I would love to get the paint to finish their rooms so that everything will be in place when the newborn comes! I am not only a great mother but a great wife!!!
Everyone believes there mother is the best.. Buy I truely believe my mom is the greatest. My father passed away about seven years ago & since then she will not let anyone repaint what he previously painted. I have convinced her to let my fiance’ & I paint her living room & kitchen! This would be SO GREAT & SUCH A WONDERFUL GIFT TO HER! She has deticated her life to us kids and even her lovely grandchildren! I hope she wins this, she greatly deserves something for herself that will make her feel good! She is completely unselfish and that makes me love her more! she also makes everyone feel like they are her own kids and they arent :)
My mom and dad just downsized and bought the house they will retire in. All of the rooms are painted in nice neutrals, except one. The office/craft room is painted a dark blue with sparkles in the paint. This room just does nothing for my mom and she just doesn’t feel creative in there. The paint would make a great mother’s day gift with my husband and I supplying the labor. :)
I really need this… I have no money to invest right now but I need some motivation to keep going …. A change would be good.please we need any help we can get
I am a Mom of 2 boys 7 and 3. Four days after My 3 years old 1st Birthday. I got a call on the the phone that changed everything. My Husband had accident. He had a broken his back and is a paralized from the waist down. It is has been rough but, with the help of family and friends we have made it through this hard time. I would like to win the paint to paint my room. It is the only place in my house that I can truly relax and have peace and quiet. thanks
As a stay at home mom of a 5 year old I would love to be able to repaint my only retreat that is within my home. I do what I can to save money for my family, yet give them everything that they need, a nice meal every night, clean house and clothes and lots of love and quality time together. My bathroom is my retreat and I would love to be able to win free paint to repaint that room to make it even more of a retreat for me.
My wife isn’t just wife to our kids but she has been a surrogate mother 2 times and on her way to being a surrogate for a 3rd time. She has sacraficed so much for others to have the joy of being able to be parents the way we have been blessed. She has been in on bed rest with most of her surrogacys and I am sure she is sick of looking at the bland builders paint that we have in our bed room now. She is so strong and done all this while I have been deployed with the army. She is so strong and deserves so much more than I can give her. New paint in her room would warm her heart and make her day!
Be sure

My mom needs her bedroom redone as she works 80 hours a week, takes care of her 3 grandkids 30 hours a week while still raising a 16 year old, maintaing a household and being a wife. My mom really needs her “me” time!
