*Expired* Favorite Freebie Friday

by Freebies4Mom on November 7, 2008 6:40 am

It’s Amy’s favorite day (and mine too) – Happy Freebie Friday! This is where Amy and I share a list of free stuff with you, what’s new this week and some favorite freebies we don’t want you to miss out on. If you are short on time to read Freebies 4 Mom during the week, then I encourage you to only visit on Friday and get a great update of the week from Freebie Friday.

Don’t forget that you can build a semi truck at Lowe’s at their “Build and Grow Clinic” tomorrow (Saturday) from 10 to 11 am. There is also a Barbie Cares event happening tomorrow at some Walmart stores. Since I’ve heard reports of many Walmart stores not hosting their events (despite being on the schedule to) I encourage you to call your store ahead of time. I’ve experienced this myself, and have to think that it’s a problem with a few individual stores (including mine). Look at the calendar updated each and every Freebie Friday to find free events for you and your family to attend. We try to list events that offer free samples or a hands-on activity so that you get to take something home from it.

Find out what progress is being made in The Big Give and how you can help just by leaving a comment on the Sisterly Savings blog. Wonderful things are happening at MomAdvice and I hope you will consider being a part of it! I’ve got my own giving project in-the-works and I’ll be announcing it before Thanksgiving.

I really look forward to getting the Freebie4Mom e-mails in my inbox! There are always interesting things, including the freebies, coupons, etc. Heather has been sooo helpful in guiding this “newbie” through the world of “free samples”, and I really appreciate it! You all have a great weekend and if you have any suggestions for this “newbie”, please don’t hesitate to let me know! Thanks! – Barb

My 2 boys (8 and 3) just got home from Lowe’s. We made the the semi truck plus a race car that can go in the back of the truck. My kids had a BLAST and I was lovin’ every minute of it because it was FREE!!! The employees were super helpful and didnt get frustrated at all. We will definately be going back for the other projects!!. Brianne

I have heard about Lowe’s doing this before, thanks for posting about it – I thought it would be great for my 5 year old. We went to our local Lowe’s and waited and waited and waited…. after many times of asking if they were having the build, the associate in the lumber department finally said that they didn’t receive their shipment for the build – so BEWARE – even if you sign up for the build online and get a confirmation via email – you still might have to check with your local store to make sure they are ready for the build. Better luck next time for my little one – thou when I told my dad about this he said that Home Depot does these sometimes and he would that the little one next time!!!!
