by Freebies4Mom on December 23, 2010 9:00 am

Get free $5.00 credit at Amazon Video On Demand when you tweet about @AmazonVideo and use it to pick out free movies or TV shows! Click on the yellow “Tweet and Get $5” button. You’ll then be asked to login to Twitter. Then you’ll get a “Congratulations” message that you have tweeted and now have a $5 credit to use.  You can get your $5 credit anytime before January 1, it will automatically apply to your next eligible order.

This is what your tweet will look like, but you need to go thru Amazon to generate it so you get your $5 credit:

I just got a $5 credit for movies and TV shows @amazonvideo. Click http://amzn.to/hh8gTP to get yours. #get5

What can you buy with that $5 credit?  Most movie rentals cost 99 cents, new releases cost $2.99. You must use your $5 credit before it expires on Saturday, January 1. The cool thing about Amazon Video On Demand is that everything plays directly on Amazon – nothing extra you have to download! Thanks goes to Rose Knows Coupons for sharing this new freebie!

It’s cool to get a free movie or two with your $5 credit, but did you know there are tons of FREE Video on Demand movies, episodes and bonus features you can watch too?

@Dawn, yep… you can do that with a few devices! Ironically, I just wrote about a couple this morning: http://www.momblogmagazine.com/index/2010/12/entertainment_for_2011/

And you can check out full reviews on some of those that stuff at http://littletechgirl.com.

PS they have certain movie and TV shows with $4 or $5 credit right now. We used the $5 credit and payed $1.99 of it to rent TOY STORY 3, to my surprise we got another $4 credit for renting that title.

I love this deal! My husband and I watch TV episodes every night on demand and this will be a week’s worth for free!

Just a heads up! Something we learned is you can “push” these Amazon videos to our bluray player that is connected to the internet, so it’ll play directly from our TV!!! It’s awesome. I don’t the specifics of it, I can find out if you need me to, but I was so excited when we found out and it’s nice to have it send to your TV instead of having to watch the entire movie on the computer 🙂
