*EXPIRED* My Lucky Readers Earn FREE Money

by Freebies4Mom on March 17, 2009 1:34 pm

Many of my readers can be earning free money just by viewing ads on Freebies 4 Mom! I’m serious – I’ve just added YouData to the right sidebar. You get paid when you view ads that appear in this box. I signed-up recently and after one week they deposited $4.43 in my PayPal account. That’s money I earned just for quickly glancing at a few ads! I want you to earn that money too!
Here’s how you can start getting paid every Friday by YouData:

1. Create an account
Don’t be intimidated, but they need some information from you. Hey, they also need to know what PayPal account (create a PayPal account here) to put your earnings in every Friday (this only requires your email address)! Some of the information is optional, and you’ll see it clearly marked as optional. They will not ask for your mailing address, but they will need your cell phone number to send you one text message. This is necessary to confirm your registration and helps them enforce the limit of only one YouData account per person. Registration requires one text message, and you will not receive any additional text messages after you register.

2.Fill out optional surveys in your MeFile
I really think you will make more money if you fill these out because they allow the targeted ads to appear for you – these are ads that you would likely have more interest in.

3. Log in at Freebies 4 Mom
Look at my right sidebar and scroll down until you see the woman’s face and the YouData logo. Just enter your MeFile ID and password and click on “Remember Me” if you don’t want to log in every time you visit.

4. Slide over to “Keep 100%
You can not see the slide bar unless there are ads available for you to view and earn money! I want you to earn all of the money, so slide that bar over to keep 100% of the earnings. This ad is specifically for my readers and I included it for YOU to make money. Please don’t give me any of your money! My job is to give you money. There are other ways you can get to the YouData ad box to view ads, but you will only see that slidebar if you are viewing it on a blog that hosts it (like mine).

5. Remember to Click and Jump
You earn money by viewing banner ads and by clicking on the links to jump to an advertiser’s website. It’s really easy and very fast to do. You just have to remember to do it every week so that you can keep getting paid! Of course the supply of ads to view varies, and you’ll earn varying amounts each week. My first week of earnings was $4.43 – I’m guessing that was higher than I will earn in a typical week since it was my first week I probably had more ads available to view.

6. Enjoy your FREE MONEY
Hey – that’s free money. Those pennies and dollars will add up and you’ll be able to use it on something you need or want. You will get your money deposited automatically in your PayPal account every Friday, there is no minimum required to get paid! I plan on using that PayPal money for online purchases, but it is possible also to link it to your banking account. Please inquire with PayPal what fees are associated with doing that.

You can sign-up for YouData here, or by clicking on the ad in the right sidebar (picture of a woman). I’m so excited to help you start earning this money just by viewing ads! If you have any questions, please ask by leaving a comment on this post or by sending me an email.

You’ll find more useful resources in my Money 4 Mom series where I’ve shared how you can make money by blogging, working online, doing in-person market research, participating in University studies, and selling on eBay. I hope you find this series a useful resource if you are looking for sources of extra income.

This sounded like a great idea, but in 2 weeks I've make like 50 cents a week. ๐Ÿ™

I've had a YouData account for a while – well over 6 months. I made about $4 my first week or two, making me think this was really going to be a worthwhile site. Since those first few weeks, I have made next to nothing. Literally 5 cents a week or sometimes nothing at all for a few weeks in a row. Changing my info in my YouData profile doesn't help. Occasionally they send notes that say we're sorry things are slow, we just have too many new members and not enough ads to go around". So yeah. It was a wonderful idea, and it seemed super awesome at first, but just don't plan on using your YouData earnings to help pay for your Holiday Shopping. I think I have a grand total of $6.50 in my account – $4 of which came in my very first week or two, and I've been checking it every other day for over 6 months.

How long does it take before you get a text message on the phone? I've been waiting a half hour I can't view my ads.

I signed up and filled out a few of the profile surveys before viewing the ads and made $.98 right away. After that I ran out of pending ads but I'll be checking back often. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Well, I, too, signed up and had about 29 cents gained but no ads since! I think this is a site that is just using our email addys. Sure hope not! Have you done any checking on them??? I want to earn, not just have my email addy out there…This is just my opinion and I am not out to diss anyone or any site. Just really curious….Sararachelle: What did you do differently so you made so much????

Heather S. – Right now seems to be a slow time for new ads on YouData. But as you said – patience will pay off! Be sure that you and your husband fill out the optional survey so that you can get more ads (they are targeted to reach specific audiences). Then I recommend checking once a day for new ads. You can do that easily if you visit my blog, just login in the right sidebar. Thanks for your questions!-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

I really like this idea. However, I signed up and made $1.09 ($1.07 with paypal fee) on the first day which was this last Friday the 11th. But I haven't received any ads since then. None at all. I convinced my husband to sign up and he didn't even receive ads on his first day when he signed up like I did. He hasn't received any ads yet. Is it always this infrequent or are we doing something wrong? I am a patient person so I don't mind waiting I am just curious if I am doing this right. Do the ads just show up or do I need to make them show up by doing something? Do I need to leave the adget open all the time to get the ads or do they show up no matter what?

Kerissa – I'm not a tax professional, so obviously I can't give out any tax advice. All I can tell you is that personally I am claiming my YouData earnings as income. Everyone has different circumstances that affect their taxes, so you really need to talk to a tax professional for tax advice.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

Kerissa July 21, 2009 at 7:45 am

Hello- now this may be a dumb question but the money we earn do we need to fill out any tax papers? I know other sites i win money off of i have had to fill out tax papers to claim at the end of the year. THANKS

Heather July 20, 2009 at 9:14 pm

RGValleyGirl – Here are the answers to your questions:1. In PayPal I did a search under "Can I have multiple PayPal accounts?" and the answer was you can have one personal account and one business account. The only info that YouData asks for is your email address that you use for your PayPal account. That's all they need to deposit your money each week. I'm comfortable with YouData protecting my privacy and my personal information, but of course you should always ask questions.2. Yes, I have received a payment from YouData every Friday since the week I started. They are prompt about paying from my experience. 3. Even if you only view one ad in a week and have only 10 cents in your account – YouData will pay that to you on Friday. There is no minimum required for them to pay you. Now you won't necessarily have paying ads to view every single week, but most weeks you will. I hope I answered your questions, thanks for asking!-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

RGValleyGal July 20, 2009 at 8:54 pm

Ok, a few questions …1. Can we have more than one PayPal account? I do not want to give my acct info to anyone!2. Have you received your payment?3. How often do they pay out what they owe you?Need to know this before I say yes. I can handle the one IM on my phone but don't want a bunch of IM's as it will cost me!

Michael – You only see the slider at the top after you "click to collect" for an ad then you can "click to jump" to the advertiser's website. Before you click to make that jump you adjust the slider at the top to "100% KEEP" so that you keep all the money because I really don't want anyone to "tip" me. I participate in YouData as a money-making opportunity for YOU to take advantage of.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

Heather June 9, 2009 at 1:35 pm

The YouData offers vary weekly because these are paid advertisements that require a company to spend their advertising money with YouData (so you can get paid). Summer is typically a slow time for advertising, but I really hope things will pick-up next Fall. Meanwhile, it's kind of hard to complain about such an easy money-maker even if it is only a few cents a week!-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

HeatherI made 1 mistakeWhen I logged in it said I had like $2.50 cents worth of ads to view.I viewed the banners but did not click on each individual ad.I then refreshed the page for more ads and kept refreshing til I went through all the banner ads. But I only earned $1.36 because I did not click on each banner ad.If you just look at the banner you get a fixed amount and then if you click on the ad you get more. You have to click on each ad before refreshing the page for more ads; by clicking on each one you are able to get the full potential (the 2.50 in my case)If you dont click to visit each website you will earn about half of what they claim in available! So watch out all!!!

Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I had problems signing up, (didn’t know I had to check the little box under the cell #, thought it was optional, then after I finally got it all, the server went down). But I tried a few hours later and it was fine. I made almost $3 and didn’t even finish updating my mefile. My q is though-there is no slider displaying and I am confused about it-why %100? Also, do we just let our friends know thru word of mouth, em? If we put it on our blogs we aren’t collecting any percents, since it’s not an MLM, right? I was just wondering how you got the button on your blog. Thanks a million again. I love your blog.

Well, considering that my provider is AT&T;, I'd be really surprised if that was the issue. It's a little weird that they don't do automated phone calls with registration numbers like a lot of other systems use. This would maintain their "one account per person" thing, while allowing a larger number of people to use the service. (In response to the question that I'm sure is coming, it's trivial for them to check if the number in question is a cell phone or a landline.)

Response to Comment #39 – Please contact YouData for assistance if you never received your text message that is required to activate your account. Also, go back to the application form and look at the pull-down menu of cell phone providers, your cell-phone provider needs to be on that list for you to receive that text message. I wrote in about the slider, because I was having a hard time finding it also. Here is what YouData responded. “The slider only appears on third-party web sites (not at youdata.com) and only after you “Reveal Ads” and “Collect” your impression revenue. The slider appears at the top of the player and you will be able to slide it to a value between 0 and 100 indicating the amount of money you wish to keep/give to the hosted content site.”

Hi, I was thinking about trying this, but when you say it puts the money into your pay pal accout, how does that work do you just have to buy things online with that money or are you able to get that money out to spend it? Does the website help you sign up for a pay pal account or do you have to do that on your own?

Okay, I've signed up for the accont, completed all the survey questions, but when I logged in through this site, it brought up something that said "reveal ads"…I clicked on it & it brought up 5 ads, but when I click on them, nothing happens. Any thoughts?

Apparently Freebies 4 Mom readers have overwhelmed the servers! Haha! I signed up this morning and when I went back to confirm my membership, the server was down.

HiUh, how long does it take to receive the text message? I’ve been waiting 20 minutes, and I’ve told them to resend it. I got the email immediately…

I don’t have a cellphone, so I guess I can’t sign in..:(

Too bad they require a cell phone to activate your account. I refuse to give out my cell phone number and refuse to pay for text messages. Oh well, maybe when they find a better way to activate your account…say by clicking a link in your email like almost all other places do!Thanks for the info though ๐Ÿ˜€

Response to Comment #12 – If there are no ads for you to view at the moment, then you will not see the slide bar near the top of the YouData ad in my right sidebar. Normally you would see the woman in that YouData ad, then you would login by entering your MeFile ID and password. After you logged in the first thing you would do is move that slider to Keep 100% if there were new ads for you to view. I hope that explains it a little better!-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

I’m still not seeing the slider. I need to look near the top of what page? Thanks

Liz – It’s my understanding that you do have to have a cell number that can receive text messages – this is their way of keeping people honest and limiting them to one account per person.-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

For Liz: You don’t need to add a phone # You sign in and do the offers. If you need a phone # for any freebies, etc you can use http://www.grandcentral.comI already am with You Data and I started out with about $3. I recently changed and added some info and yesterday I had $.53 worth of ads. Haven’t checked it yet today.Love your Blog Heather!

Response to Comment #8 – Look near the top for that slider. The default position is in the middle: 50% for you to Keep and 50% for you to Tip me or the blog that the ad is hosted on. Slide that over to 100% Keep!-HeatherFreebies 4 Mom

Where do I find the slider for which I should indicate “Keep 100%”? Thanks.

I’ve been using YouData for a couple months and although the first couple weeks I made $5-10, most weeks it’s under a dollar. The ads you see depend on your interests, so maybe I just didn’t pick profitable stuff! I have actually found some good stuff through the ads though – cute baby stuff and even some freebies!

I would do it if ONLY it didn’t ask for a cell phone number. We are unable to receive texts. Boo!

For Liz, you have to hit the little “collect” bottom at the bottom!

I’m a little confused, it says Attention Paid, but then Collected -0-.Did I do something wrong? Thanks!Liz
