Help Kyle Find a Bone Marrow Match

by Freebies4Mom on December 28, 2011 6:43 pm

Kyle Needs YouPlease help spread the word that Kyle needs a bone marrow transplant. His match will most likely be found in someone who is half-Asian, half-Caucasian. They are currently unable to find a match for him out of the 9 million registered bone marrow donors. That’s why your help is needed – to spread the word that people can easily be tested with a simple swab of the cheek (you can request a test kit by mail). Giving the gift of life is the most precious gift of all – so please help find Kyle’s bone marrow match. (image credit: KyleNeedsYou.org)

I forwarded this to my half-brother.  He is half-Asian, half-Caucasian, so who knows…I hope they find a matching donor!!

I just forwarded it to my cousin, as well. Her son is half-Asian & half-Caucasian too! I’m sure he’d like to help if he’s a match… along with just being a good person, he’s one of the youngest ever Eagle Scouts.

To those who shared but did not participate – there are others who are on the wait list that COULD be a match.  Please consider doing this yourself.  I’m ineligible due to health problems or I would too.

I’ve signed up as a potential donor with BeTheMatch.com so I guess they already checked for me.  I also donated my daughter’s cord blood.  Anyway, thanks for sharing the opportunity with others.

I so appreciate this to share with my daughter and son who might match plus we live in No. CA.  I read there is a great need for Japanese Caucasian donors as they make up a very small percentage of the U.S. population.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed and pray for a match.

That is so heart-breaking that out of millions of people on the list, there is not a match…Hoping that a match is found soon…
