Apricot Football Brownies with Pillsbury™I shopped at Walmart for Pillsbury™ Brownies and Frosting in the baking aisle so I could stock up! I always keep Pillsbury™ Brownie mixes in my pantry because it’s such a quick way to mix up a treat for my family. I added one new ingredient for a sweet and fruity twist on the classic brownie – Apricot Preserves. I’ll show you in my recipe below how I use the Apricot Preserves in both my brownie recipe and with the frosting.

Apricot Football Brownies with Pillsbury™

Who said that cookie cutters are just for cookies? I used my football-shaped cookie cutters to make football-shaped brownies! It’s really easy to add a few lines of white frosting to create the laces of the football.

Apricot Football Brownies with Pillsbury™

Here is my recipe for Apricot Football Brownies. It’s fun to make thin brownies that can be made into “sandwiches”. Mix it up by using a different flavor of preserves!

Apricot Football Brownies

Ingredients:

1 box Pillsbury™ Brownies
2/3 cup oil
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
1 container Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme Classic White frosting
1/2 cup Apricot Preserves

Directions:

1.   Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2.  Prepare brownies according to package directions but add in 1/4 cup Apricot Preserves
3.  Bake in 13 x 9-inch metal pan according to package directions
4.  In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup Apricot Preserves with 1/4 cup Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme Classic White frosting
5.  After brownies cool, cut into football shapes with cookie cutter and spread Apricot Frosting mixture on top of half to make “sandwiches”
6.  Decorate top by drawing white football laces using a frosting decorator or simply spooning frosting into a plastic bag then cutting off the corner to form a small circle to squeeze frosting thru

🏈Game Day Recipes: Wyngz Chicken Salad on Celery & Caesar Beef Sliders

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Tyson® and Ball Park®. The opinions and text are all mine.

Got Tyson Any'tizers? Make my Wyngz Chicken Salad on Celery Game Day Appetizer - it's easy!

It’s time for a Tailgate Party! I went shopping at Walmart to buy Tyson® and Ball Park®  products to help me make food for our in-home Tailgate Party for watching football on Sunday. These products are favorites with my husband and two boys because they are quick to fix and taste delicious! Oh – and I love the low prices on these products at Walmart – only $6.98 for Tyson® Any’tizers Boneless Wyngz and only $6.98 for Ball Park® Flame Grilled Beef Patty.

Make Caesar Beef Sliders for your Game Day Party ~ perfect tailgating recipe!

Since we always have celery with our Tyson® Any’tizers Boneless Wyngz, I wanted to make an appetizer where the Wyngz were ON the celery!  So I cut up the boneless Wyngz to create a chicken salad to top the celery with. My kids love sliders because they’re just the right size for them to handle and eat. I discovered that if I cut a Ball Park® Flame Grilled Beef Patty in half, it’s just the right size to put on a slider bun. For a slightly different taste, I added caesar dressing on top of the lettuce to turn them into Caesar Beef Sliders.

Look in the frozen section of your local Walmart store for Tyson® Any’tizers Boneless Wyngz. They were easy to spot at my store because of this special sign! There are several flavors, but I chose Honey BBQ because I knew that flavor would be a hit with my kids (not too spicy). Also look for Ball Park® Flame Grilled Beef Patty plus other flavors are available.

Wyngz overhead 630x420Here is my recipe for Wyngz Chicken Salad on Celery. Remember you need to cook and chill your Wyngz ahead of time because this is a cold chicken salad. It’s perfect to serve along with hot Tyson® Any’tizers Boneless Wyngz just out of the oven!

Wyngz Chicken Salad on Celery

Ingredients:

10 oz. Tyson Any’tizers Boneless Wyngz (any flavor, about 12 pieces)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 celery rib (chopped finely)
1 green onion (minced)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
salt & pepper to taste
whole celery ribs (to serve chicken salad on)
cherry tomatoes (optional garnish)

Directions:

1.   Prepare the Tyson Any’tizers Boneless Wyngz per package instructions and let full cool
2.  Cut Wyngz into small pieces and then add to a mixing bowl
3.  Season with salt & pepper to taste
4.  Add in vegetable oil, mayonnaise, finely chopped celebry, green onion and lemon juice. Mix well.
5.  Chill chicken salad for up to 1 day and serve on celery ribs garnished with cherry tomato slices

Sliders 630x549

For a super easy twist on a slider you can buy Ball Park® Flame Grilled Beef Patty and prepare them in the microwave. Such a convenient product to keep in your freezer, especially when the Fall weather means there’s no way you’re stepping outside to grill meat. These frozen beef patties are already grilled (they even have grill marks). Turn your sliders into Caesar Beef Sliders by simply cutting your patties in half, adding lettuce and then adding a dollop of caesar dressing.
